Chapter 3
"Why now of all damn fucking times?" The dark skin muscular man groan as he stomp his foot on the floor, making it crack like spider web.
"Angry Titan! Control your emotions." One of them yelled at the dark skin man called Angry Titan.
"Speak for your fucking self, Fastlane." Angry Titan responded with a snort.
"Okay, that is enough." Silver Queen let out, silencing her members.
"Right now, we need to ask Rex Arthurian to use his satellite and find the person before he causes more disaster." Silver Queen said.
"But, what if he is as strong as… as Dark Apocalypse?" Fastlane asked as a cold shiver run through his body.
Thinking back to the battle which took place just 4 weeks ago where Dark Apocalypse, the strongest newly risen villain faces off against the strongest heroes on earth and he alone killed Hyperioness, the beacon of hope on earth who has existed for thousand of years, ushering the age of heroes, freeing humanity from the shackles of slavery, thereby making the surviving heroes' morale drop after being crushed witnessing the strongest hero defeat and this in turn gives the villains high morale boost to cause havoc since the strongest is no longer around.
The battle took place in Australia and three cities were affected and ended up getting completely wiped out, that was about 20 million people dying.
Since then, Earth has been trying to recover from the battle and even the surviving heroes from Justice And Order Organization have been laying low for a while, suddenly they got an alarm of high energy showing up here and the frequency wasn't similar to Dark Emperor's own which made them believe one thing, another person who might be as strong as Dark Emperor might have arrived.
Despite fearing the possibility, they muster their courage to pay him a visit.
And now, the possibilities have turned into reality.
This made them feel helpless, they haven't deal with the Dark Apocalypse and yet, another evil force have risen.

One Day Later
Mordecai stood atop a skyscraper, his vampire eyes scanning the sprawling metropolis beneath him. The city, which he had learned was called Neo-London, was a technological marvel. Floating cars, towering buildings made of steel and glass, and people moving in every direction like ants, it reminds him of his time which all it's technology were powered by magic unlike this era.
But it wasn't the humans that interested him. It was the ones with powers, the so-called superheroes that caught his eye. Their movements were different from the others; he could sense their auras, faint as they were. They were stronger than ordinary humans, but nowhere near his level.
Currently he watched from above as a skirmish unfolded between a group of heroes and a monstrous villain, a towering, muscle-bound creature with green skin and muscular body was roaring with angry look, smashing whatever tries coming close to it. The heroes fought valiantly, using their powers of flight, energy blasts, and super strength, but it was clear they were struggling against this single creature.
Mordecai sighed in boredom. So this is what passes for strength in this new world?
Pathetic.
Just as he was about to turn away, something caught his attention. The villain, in a fit of rage, slammed into a building, sending debris flying in all directions. His keen senses zeroed in on a 16-year-old girl standing in the path of a massive chunk of wall, her eyes wide with terror. In that split second, Mordecai instantly got some ideas and swiftly vanished from the top.
Appearing behind her and grabbing hold of her shoulder before vanishing again.
Bam!
The debris landed exactly where she once was, shattering into different pieces with dust scattering from it.
The girl gasped as she landed on her knees in a quiet alleyway, away from the chaos. Her body trembled and her breaths came fast. She looked up at him, wide-eyed.
"My little brother… he's still in there," she said, pointing back toward the collapsing building. Her voice cracked. "He's only six. Please… I need to save him."
Mordecai said nothing. He just stared at her, his red eyes blank and cold. The girl reached for his sleeve, her hand shaking.
"I know you're not like them. I know you're not one of those fake heroes. But I saw what you did. You saved me. Please, I beg you. Let me save him."
Her voice broke as tears filled her eyes. Mordecai remained still, watching her as if she were some strange animal. Yet something flickered in his eyes. He turned his gaze back toward the rubble.
The ground rumbled. Another section of the building began to fall.
Without a word, he raised his hand.
The debris froze mid-air, the massive chunks of rock and steel hanging above the wreckage as if caught by invisible chains. His telepathy surged out like a silent roar, pushing back the destruction with force that bent space itself. Even the air trembled.
The green monster that had caused it all turned its head, sensing something unnatural.
Before it could react, Mordecai clenched his fingers.
The creature's body twisted violently. Bones snapped. Flesh tore. Then, like paper crushed in a fist, it collapsed into a broken heap.
The girl gasped, watching him in awe and fear.
Mordecai moved forward. His mind swept through the rubble. Heartbeats. Weak, but still alive.
With a flick of his fingers, a pile of broken concrete shifted and revealed a small boy, barely conscious, blood on his forehead.
He stepped forward, picked the child up with one arm, and returned to the girl.
Before she could speak, he grabbed her wrist and vanished with both of them. One blink, and they were gone from the scene.
Only silence remained.
Far from the battle, deep within a dark alley, Mordecai released her arm and dropped the boy gently beside her.
The girl held her brother and looked up to thank him.

(Elira's POV)
Elira held the shopping bag tighter as she weaved through the crowds of Neo-London's lower district. She had managed to grab a few essentials: rice, noodles, and a small candy bar for her little brother. It wasn't much, but it'd make Grandpa smile. And if there was one thing she wanted, it was to make her family proud.
Especially with the Hero Academy entrance exam only one week away.
