Chapter 17 - Before I Call You Mine , Let Me Survive First

Scene 1: The Letter that Breaks Everything

Dana's brother delivers an official envelope to Ainur's house.

It's addressed to her father.

Inside? A legal petition.

Claim: Property inherited by Ainur's grandfather was fraudulently signed over. The real heir? Arman's family.

Ainur's father reads it and turns pale.

FATHER:

"If this is true… we'll lose everything."

He looks up, eyes filled with fear—not just of poverty… but shame.

Scene 2: Arman – Blamed Again

He shows up at Ainur's door with roses. Her father answers instead.

FATHER (shouting):

"You took my daughter—now you want my land?! You were a curse from the start!"

ARMAN (confused):

"I—I don't know what you're talking about."

FATHER:

"Get off my porch before I call the elders."

The door slams in his face.

Scene 3: Ainur Fights Back

Later that night, Ainur finds Dana standing near the village shrine, dressed in white like a saint—but Ainur? Ainur has fire in her eyes.

AINUR (quietly):

"You really want me gone that badly?"

DANA (fake sweet):

"I just want the world to see who you really are—just another girl who didn't know where to stop."

Ainur steps closer.

AINUR:

"And you? Just another woman who couldn't stand being unloved."

Dana's smile falters.

Ainur walks away—stronger than ever.

Scene 4: The Proposal—In the Rain

It's pouring. The village empty. The wind howling.

Arman stands in the middle of the road, soaked, holding a makeshift ring made from the string she once tied her braid with.

Ainur walks toward him, no umbrella.

He drops to his knees in the mud.

ARMAN (choking):

"They took everything from us. But not this.

Not you.

If this world wants to burn—then let it.

Will you marry me… in secret?"

She's crying.

She nods.

AINUR:

"I'll marry you in a world where no one claps.

Only the wind, and your heartbeat."

Scene 5: Dana's Final Weapon

But Dana isn't done.

She opens a file.

A photo of Ainur's real birth certificate.

One name circled in red.

A man Ainur never met. Not the father she knew.

DANA (to her brother):

"You know what this means?"

He nods grimly.

LAWYER BROTHER:

"She's not even his biological daughter. She belongs to someone else entirely."

DANA:

"Then let's give her one more heartbreak to take to her wedding."
