*Maya's POV*
I woke up to the sound of the alarm blaring in our small apartment. It was 5:30 AM, and I knew I had to get up and start the day. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and swung my legs over the side of the bed. Aisha was still fast asleep, her gentle snores a reminder that she'd sleep in a bit longer. I smiled, thinking about how she'd complain about getting up early later.
As I made my way to the kitchen, I could smell the aroma of freshly brewed tea wafting from the stove. Mother was already up, preparing breakfast for us. I kissed her cheek, and she smiled, her eyes crinkling at the corners.
"Good morning, beta," she said, using the affectionate term she always used for me.
"Good morning, Mother," I replied, taking the broom and starting to sweep the floor.
We lived in a small apartment, but Mother made sure it was always clean and tidy. She worked hard to provide for us, and I wanted to help in any way I could. Aisha and I were both studying hard, trying to make a better life for ourselves.
As I swept, I thought about my plans for the day. I had a exam coming up, and I needed to study hard to do well. I was determined to get good grades and make Mother proud.
*Aisha's POV*
I woke up to the sound of Maya moving around in the kitchen. I stretched, feeling the warmth of the bed, and snuggled deeper under the blanket. I didn't want to get up yet. I knew Mother and Maya would be getting ready for the day, but I had a few more minutes, didn't I?
I heard Maya and Mother chatting in hushed tones, and I smiled, feeling grateful for our little family. We didn't have much, but we had each other. I thought about the day ahead, and my heart sank. I had a math test, and I was nervous. I wasn't as good at math as Maya was, and I worried that I'd do poorly.
But for now, I just wanted to sleep. I closed my eyes and drifted off, feeling the warmth of the bed and the gentle hum of the fan above.
*Fatima's POV*
I watched my daughters with pride as they went about their morning routine. Maya was always so responsible, helping out and taking care of things. Aisha, on the other hand, was more carefree, but she had a good heart. I was grateful for both of them, and I knew that I had to keep pushing forward, no matter what challenges we faced.
As I prepared breakfast, I thought about the day ahead. I had a meeting with my supervisor at work, and I was nervous. I hoped that I'd get the promotion I'd been working towards. It would make a big difference for us, financially and otherwise.
I smiled, thinking about my girls. They were my world, and I'd do anything to give them a better life.
