A Day before flying lessons. In the Great Hall.
Seamus: "Eye of rabbit, harp string hum. Turn this water, into rum." He Looks into his cup then shakes his head. "Eye of rabbit, harp string hum..."
"Do you know what Seamus is trying to do to that glass of water?"
Ron: "Turn it into rum. Actually managed a weak tea yesterday, before-"
A mighty flash shot out of his cup making Seamus's face charred.
Several students laugh at this as Hermione fans away the smoke with her hand because she's close.
Suddenly, a flock of owls starts coming into the hall from the rafters above.
Ron: "Ah. Mail is here!"
Hedwig flew down and dropped me my paper.
'Yes, let's see if she listened.'
I opened it up and on the front page it read (Harry Potter. How is his time at Hogwarts?)
It continued to explain exactly what I said.
'Good. Rita Skeeter listened and didn't make me expose her.' I Flamed to her and ask, with a dash of threatening her to put in the paper what I say.
I think it's a Win-Win. She gets a first hand account of what I'm doing, and I get the public to know what I think they should know. Hopefully it keeps my image good.
I continued to read the paper until I got to the break-in at the bank.
I read the section as Neville opened his mail.
Dean: "Hey, look! Neville's got a Remembrall!"
Hermione: "I've read about those. When the smoke turns red." The smoke turned red like it's on queue. "It means you've forgotten something."
Neville looked sheepish. "The only problem is, I can't remember what I've forgotten."
I wispered. "Neville. Neville." He looked at me and I grabbed my cloak and moved it.
His eyes widened and he ran off.
Since Ron was on my left and Hermione was on my right, I held the paper out in front of me and caught there attention.
"Hey, Guys! Look at this. Somebody broke into Gringotts. (Believed to be the work of dark witches or wizards unknown, Gringotts goblins, while acknowledging the breach, insist that nothing was taken. The vault in question, number 713, had in fact been emptied earlier that same day.)
"That's odd. That's the vault Hagrid and I went to."
Hermione: "Do you think they wanted what he took earlier?"
Ron: "Isn't it obvious? What was it? Do you know?"
"It was wrapped. I couldn't tell."
Hermione: "Interesting."
Later as we are leaving the hall.
Hermione: "Are you going to deal with the Professor sooner than the original?"
"No. I think I'll wait til the end of the year. Besides his attack on me, he won't do much harm. Just make sure to set fire to Snape's robes quickly."
She giggled. "Yes, you were never good at those mechanical bulls in our past life."
I mock-laughed. "You're funny." - "Don't worry. I won't let him put your image down."
"I appreciate that."
.
Gryffindor and Slytherin are standing outside next to a broom waiting for class to start.
Hooch: "Good afternoon, class." - "Good afternoon, Madam Hooch."
Hooch "Good afternoon, Amanda, good afternoon." She got to the end of the line and turned to us. "Welcome to your first flying lesson. Well, what are you waiting for? Everyone step up to the left side of their broomstick... Come on now, hurry up.
Stick your right hand over the broom and say, Up."
Everyone started to say, "up."
I held out my hand over the Broom and said "Up." While putting my will and intent into it. It flew straight into my hand on the first try.
I looked at Ron and Hermione, who hadn't succeeded yet.
Hermione: "How'd you do that?"
I watched Ron's broom fly up and hit his nose.
I laughed.
Ron: "Shut it, Harry."
"Fine. Fine. I guess I'll help. If you haven't noticed yet. Magic is easier to use when you put your will and intent into it. Will the broom up and it will."
Hermione: "Up!" It flew straight into her hand and she smiled. "I should've thought of that... that's how you are doing so well."
"That and I'm just that good."
She rolled her eyes and I looked at Ron.
I watched him and the second time it finally worked.
Hooch: "Now, once you've got hold of your broom, I want you to mount it. And grip it tight, you don't want to be sliding off the end." We all mounted our brooms, and Hooch noticed Malfoy doing it wrong. "Malfoy. You're doing it wrong. Learned at home didn't you?" She shook her head. "You're lucky you haven't fallen off like that." She corrected him and looked at everyone. "When I blow my whistle, I want each of you to kick off from the ground, hard. Keep your broom steady, hover for a moment, then lean forward slightly, and touch back down. On my whistle. 3, 2.." She blows the whistle and immediately Neville's broom flies up into the air.
'Sorry Neville. I want to get on the team. I'll make it up to you.'
Hooch: "Mr. Longbottom."
Girl: "Neville, what are you doing?"
Students: "Neville... Neville..."
Hermione: "Why'd you let him do that?"
"Why are you asking me. You could've stopped him as well." - "I. Well. It's still your fault."
I rolled my eyes. "Sure."
Boy: "We're not supposed to take off, yet."
"I think he knows. Look. He's out of control!"
Hooch: "M-M-Mr. Longb-!"
Neville: "AHH!"
Hooch: "Mr. Longbottom!"
Neville: "Down! Down! Ahhhh!… Help!!!"
He immediately skyrockets up farther in the sky!
Hooch: "Come back down this instant!" - "AHH!"
He flies uncontrollably in the air and hits a wall, conking along it and then swooping off. He screamed as He began to zoom back towards us.
Hooch quickly holds out her wand to stop him.
Neville: "Help!" - "Mr. Longbottom!"
He flies towards us and everyone else jumps out of the way.
Hooch tries to jump at him with her wand to help him but fails.
I looked at him as he falls and at the last moment so no one notices I surround him in a field to cushion his fall.
Madam Hooch runs to him and we all surround them.
Hooch: "Oh, oh, oh, oh dear. It's a broken wrist. Tch, tch, tch. Poor boy. Come on now, up you get." I watched Draco reach down and grab Neville's Remembrall, which had fallen from his pocket.
Hooch begins to lead Neville away with her back to the Castle. "Everyone's to keep their feet firmly on the ground while I take Mr. Longbottom to the hospital wing. Understand? If I see a single broom in the air, the one riding it will find themselves out of Hogwarts before they can say, Quidditch."
'And I plan to quickly ignore that."
Draco: "Did you see his face? Maybe if the fat lump had given this a squeeze, he'd have remembered to fall on his fat arse."
Hermione: "Give it to me Draco." - "What will you do if I don't?"
I stepped in front of her. "I'll have to embarrass you. I don't think you'll like that will you?" - "You. Embarrass me? No. I don't think that's possible. I think I'll leave this somewhere for Longbottom to find." He hopped on his broom then soared around the group, then through us. "How about on the roof? He soars off and hovers several feet above the ground. "What's the matter, Potter? Bit beyond your reach? I thought you were going to embarrass me?"
"You asked for it."
Hermione: "Harry. I spoke first to try..."
"I want to get on the team. I'll be fine." - "You don't know how to fly."
"Neither did the original. Remember. It's all about willpower."
I put my foot on my broom and started to take off.
I flew up to Draco. "This is your one warning Draco. Give it here, or you'll be embarrassed." - "Is that so? Well, let's see." I flew to him right as he threw it. My eyes glowed as I touched him and I made him think he was being chased by a flock of Owls.
I circled him and flew after the ball.
As I flew at the ball I watched Draco scream and fly as fast as he could at the ground.
I flew as fast as this old broom can go heading straight at McGonagall's window, I caught the ball and pulled straight up to Avoid hitting the bricks as the ball was closer than I'd like.
I leveled out and slowly flew down to the cheering crowd.
I landed and got swarmed.
Boy: "Nice going, Harry!"
Boy 2: "Oh, that was wicked, Harry!"
McGonagall walked fastly from the castle.
McGonagall: "Harry Potter!" Everyone went quiet, and I looked up at her. "Yes?" - "Follow me."
As we walked towards the Castle, Draco flew by. She shot something at Draco and he flew off the broom and hit the ground. "10 points from Slytherin. You know you're not supposed to be flying."
I chuckled as she led me inside. Once inside we made it to Quirrell's classroom.
McGonagall: "You wait here."
Quirrell: "..an essential ingredient."
McGonagall poked her head into the classroom. "Professor Quirrell, excuse me, excuse me. Could I borrow Wood for a moment, please?"
Quirrell: "Oh, y-yes, of course."
A bit got up and walked into the hallway.
McGonagall: "Potter, this is Oliver Wood. Wood, I have found you a Seeker!"
'Finally. I've always wanted to play this game and my past life was looking at the movies.
I've especially wanted to play ever since I stepped foot into the school.
Luckily, for me, I like flying."
