Chapter 1 - Delusioned Dreams.

It was yet another boring school day just like every other day, but something about today in particular felt different – maybe it was because it was the last day before summer break or maybe it was something else.

In a classroom, just like all the others, far into the back corner of the class a boy slept. His messy and unkept hair falling and covering his face, but the boy was lucky as the class was free to do anything they wanted.

It seemed as if the boy was going to sleep indefinitely, until a figure loomed above him and shook him.

"Wake up already! God, how many times am i gonna have to call your name for you to wake up!"

It was a petite girl, around the boy's age – she had long smooth brown hair but a short fuse.

"I SAID WAKE UP ALREADY!" The girl yelled as she furiously yanked the boy out of his seat.

The boy's bosy landed on the ground with an audible thud, causing him to wake up from the pain. When he woke up, he wasnt surprised that he was on the floor – it became a regular at this point.

"Daiya.. seriously? When are you gonna learn to wake up people in a gentle manner.." The boy said as he got up from the floor – stretching his body right after.

The girl – who's name was Deya – got even more agitated at the boy's comment. "Well YOU werent going to wake up no matter what i did! Just learn to sleep properly Shiro!"

The boy – Shiro – sighed and sat back in his seat, yawning. "Well im sorry that im so dedicated to grinding out my games.."

Deya took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down as she took her seat next to him. (They're seated right next to eachother.)

"I know you love to play games but its not healthy if you do that.. come on, you know i worry about you." Deya said as she put a hand on Shiro's cheek.

Shiro put a hand on Deya's, feeling the warmth and he couldnt help but smile a bit. "I know you are.. but please, I'll be fine – i can easily fix my sleep shedule." (Cope.)

Deya pulled her hand away and sighed. "Shiro, how many times will you tell me that before actually acting upon it? At this rate, just let me live with you already! Your already so – "

"Hopeless?" Shiro said, finishing Deya's sentance. "Ive heard you say that so many times already and even after all these years, im still fine and living arent i?"

Deya opened her mouth to speak but closed it again – Shiro had a point. "Fine.. but if i see that things are worsening then I'll make sure to steer you back on the right path.."

Shiro absentmindedly shook his head, trying to appear as if he was in the moment with everyone – engaging in a conversation with Deya and whatever else he could do – when in reality, his mind was elsewhere.

What Shiro was thinking about was.. weird to say the least, he didnt know whether to believe it or not. That or he totally is going crazy from all the late night gaming sessions.

Shiro heard and spoke with things – beings out of this world – in the dream he had not too long ago.

"God, im truly going crazy now arent i? Godly beings talking to me in my dreams? No way thats real.. right?"

Flashback to Shiro's dream before Deya woke him up :

Shiro's eyes were tightly shut and it felt like he was slowly floating – almost as if he was in space.

Shiro felt like he couldnt breath – like he was suffocating – then his eyes shot open to take a wide breath of air, but there was none.

Shiro grasped at his own neck, feeling the air leaving his body and it felt like he was dying, but at a moments notice he was teleported into a white rubber padded room with no exits.

Shiro gasped for air as he took in the sudden shift in areas.

"Just what is going on?! Where am i!?" Shiro exclaimed with fear – panic was starting to rise and he felt very on edge. "Is anyone there!?"

No one – nothing. Shiro got no response back and he was left with silence in the maddeningly white room.

"This is a dream.. yeah, it definitely has to be a dream! I.. i remember laying down.. and closing my eyes to go to sleep, i just gotta – "

"Wake up?" A disembodied voice said.

"AHHH!" Shiro jumped from where he stood, hurridly looking around the room. "Who are you?! Where even are you?!" Shiro yelled, trying to make sense of this ever weird situation. "No.. no.. remember, im – "

"Not dreaming." The disembodied voice sad once more.
