"I can not take you home but I can find you a place where you will belong." Leah said nothing aloud, but she felt she belonged with her. "Where will we start the search?"
"How about we start our search in the sky? Live on a cloud or something." Leah was only half kidding. She threw the idea out there to see if it was possible.
"Unfortunately the sky isn't a place you can stay. Would you settle for making sky angels?"
"Yes!!! Let's do that!"
"But first let's get you changed." From seemingly out of nowhere she produced a simple black tunic. It tied in the front so it was easy to wear. Like Lahahana's it went to her mid thighs. Unlike her's the bottom was closer to a shorts style but could be undo to hang like the tunic it was supposed to be. Overall it looked closer to being a romper. Leah took it from her and blushed lightly when she didn't leave so she could change. Finally after she coughed softly Lahahana got the hint and had the decency to look somewhat abash. She turned around and Leah changed as quickly as she could without hurting herself. "Um.. i'm done."
Turning around she took in her appearance and smiled. "I hope you like it . I tried to update it a bit to better suit your age."
For the first time since waking up Leah wondered what she looked like and how old she was. She hadn't seen herself since she was supposed to be confined to her bed because of her injuries. With Lahahana looking at her so closely she really hoped she was what others would consider at least pretty. Looking at Lahahana she knew she was definitely not a beautiful as her. Probably no one was. Looking up she saw Lahahana staring at her with a sly smile that showed she knew she was thinking embarrassing thoughts. She also realized she had not answered her. "I like it a lot. Thank you." She looked away hoping she couldn't see her blush but knowing she could when she heard the muffled laughter. "Are you able to tell me how old I look or even just what i look like?" Lahahana's laughter immediately stopped and the sadness was back in her voice when she responded. "I.. I suppose you look to be about 16 to 18. As for how you look.." She had a thoughtful look on her face before she gave a curt nod and said seriously. "I would say you look perfect." Lahahana smiled to herself and made a pleased sound seeming satisfied with her own answer. Leah couldn't help but laugh at this. Her answer was so vague and did nothing to help imagine herself. Still she couldn't help but be happy with it. She would just have to look at herself later. For now she was happy not knowing.
Lahahana frowned at her not understanding why she was laughing which only made Leah laugh harder. It was a minute before she calmed down. "And what was so funny?" Leah didn't answer and just smiled. This only deepened Lahahana's frown. "You don't have to pout." "I do not pout." "Whatever you say." This only brought a scowl to her face. Leah thought it would look out of place on her like when she was sad. Oddly enough it looked natural on her. She hadn't taken her for the type to pout and get easily angered but she was pleasantly surprised to find she was. Lahahana suddenly picked Leah up to stop her from mocking her. Leah gave her a knowing look before she stopped teasing her. When Lahahana adjusted Leah she let out a low hiss as Lahahana accidentally squeezed too hard on one of her cuts. Lahahana immediate moved her hand and apologized profusely on the verge of tears. This upset Leah more than her own pain had. "Don't worry I am fine." "Maybe we should wait until you are healed. I don't.." "No! Nothing here can help me. Being with you is what i need right now." This caused Lahahana to smile. Leah was proud of herself for being able to calm her down and even make her smile.
"Now I believe I was promised cloud angels."
"Of course" With that settled she glided to the window and confidently stepped onto the ledge.
"Are you ready?" In answer Leah took the opportunity to press herself closer to Lahahana. "I am a little scared." She put on a a nervous look but the sly glint in her eyes gave her away. Though Lahahana noticed she didn't expose her and let her cling to her. She gently held the girl in her arms. Leah was happily in her arms when her wings spread out with such force it caused a breeze: making her shiver. Without any warning she leapt from the window and dove straight towards the ground gaining speed. Just before the ground she made a sharp turn upwards using the built up momentum from the dive to shoot into the sky at speeds that caused Leah's eyes to water and the air to be snatched from her before she could breathe it in. She knew she should have felt scared but the feeling was oddly familiar and comforting. A wild urge to laugh crept up on Leah and it refused to be ignored. As she giggled uncontrollably she ran her hands through the clouds. Some was surprisingly wet.
Lahahana's voice brought her back to reality. She was looking at her with a sparkle in her eyes. "Are you ready to fly on your own?" There was mischief in her voice but Leah was unwilling to back down. Besides she could fly she knew she could. Leah looked back at her feeling a little mischievous herself. Before she could change her mind or before Lahahana could stop her, she spread her arms as if they were wings then tipped backwards out of her arms. Leah smiled smugly up at the shocked women watching her fall. Leah had her back to ground as she started the fall. She turned so she was facing the ground and spread out at far as possible slowing herself down as she approached a cloud then tucked herself into a tight ball as she went through the cloud popping out on the other side smiling. She untucked and spreading back out. Suddenly she was snatched out the air and back into warm arms, still laughing. "What were you thinking you could have died. What if I didn't catch you or you passed out and hit your head." "Hit my head? On what a cloud."
Realizing how silly she sounded she scowled again refusing to admit it and choose to be shameless. "You would be surprised how hard clouds could be." Leah was startled but only laughed then innocently asked, "So.." she began slowly. "How was my flying?" That brought a smile back to Lahahana's face. "Almost as good as mine." She paused as she watched the girl smile brilliantly before ruthlessly adding. "Well if I was blind and had only one of my wings." It was Leah's turn to pout as Lahahana laughed. "I think that's enough playing in the clouds for one day. Where should we go to eat?" "You can choose I have no clue what i do and don't like to eat." The sadness returned to Lahahana and Leah regretted not just saying something simple like chicken. She had it at the hospital it was decent.
"I remember having chicken. It was good." Leah intentionally tried to imply it was before her accident.
