The first day of going to study at my dream school had finally come, my excitement was palpable. After I received the news that I had been accepted I couldn't believe it had actually happened. As sad as it may sound I was the only one that could wade in the excitement of being accepted into my dream school as I have no immediate family and I have never really cared to keep in contact with people I went to school with.
That being said I'm a very likable person and I do have some friends, well to be accurate I have two and the only reason we have kept in contact is mostly due to their diligence in reaching out to me. The first of the two friends is my best and longest friend who of course the moment I leave my apartment and head down the elevator to the lobby the first thing I see is Mathew flirting with the building manager as usual.
Mathew has a very shrewd personality but not in the worst of ways, he as he puts it "extends his hand out to those who do not know him in hopes of garnering a fruitful relationship." In all honesty he's just a talkative wannabe playboy but he is insightful, charismatic, diligent, attentive, and surprisingly observant. As often as he flirts with women and reaches out to men for friendship he has not gotten much better at it, on the same side of the coin he is notably well know as a nice guy women however find him too flirtatious or ostentatious.
"Cmon you have to admit me getting into such a nice college is indeed admirable right?" Mathew says in his very loud smooth voice.
"Yes I have to admit it is something to be proud of Mr. Ranch." Rachel the building manager says in a sneer giggling voice as she covers her mouth to hide her amusement.
"Really? You know I hate being called by my last name." As he leans in closer to Rachel.
"You should be more than familiar with me to call me Mathew or Mat like everyone else." I quietly walk up behind him and lightly smack the back of his soft pillowy head with my palm which was kind of awkward to do because of our height difference. I'm about five foot six while Mathew stands way over me at six foot nine which is not a bad thing considering his love for women. I walk up next to Mathew and look him in the eyes slightly annoyed.
Mathew has a very slender face that goes well with his long slender body, I'm not sure how much he weighs but around one hundred eighty or so. His face is his main point of pride with its very defined features you could say he looks like a Greek god on earth though the bright blonde hair that flows so nicely you have to wonder how such a beautiful man is single.
"I think Rachel has more important things to do than feed your ego." I smile an awkward smile at Rachel as we have had the same interactions for about a month since I've moved in. Rachel was a very sweet and gentle woman with a very soft voice to the point where you think she is scared to speak, her outward appearance could be what you would call ideal with her short thin stature she was a very pale black hair only reaching to the nape of her neck. The most beautiful part of her honestly would be her bright green eyes that sparkle and dance in the light so bright they are kind of of putting at first.
"No I don't mind at all, young men such as yourself need a boost in confidence every now and then." Rachel says closing her eyes and smiling at us in a condescending tone.
"I feel like you guys are teaming up on me." Mathew says throwing on his pouty face. I roll my eyes and start to walk towards the front door.
"Let's go we don't want to be late for the first day." I say "yeah your right, bye Rachel." Mathew says as he waves and exits with me, Rachel simply smiles and waves at us. "Honestly Rachel is so beautiful and nice I wonder what I can do to get in to her good graces." Mathew says as we walk down the street to the bus stop several blocks away.
"Dude you can't seriously believe you have a chance with her, she may be around our age but she's definitely much more mature than us." "Yeah I guess your right but still a guy can dream." Mathew says in a slightly depressed tone. "Yeah a dream is the only word for it Mat." I say, we walk the rest of the way with mostly just random chit chat and conversation about school.
As we round the corner to the bus stop we see are other friend reading a book about some historical topic as usual. "Domo Momo." Mathew says in a singsong voice very loud as we approach. "Oh wow what an unexpected greeting from our resident sleaze." Momo says annoyed putting her book in her purse.
Momo has a very unique name because her outward appearance was her parents inspiration for the name. The best way to describe Momo is to say she's albino her big red eyes are a dead giveaway, her eyes however oddly enough are the only feature that could tell you that her black hair is natural and her skin isn't overly pale. She is a very beautiful girl in every sense of the word, she stands at five foot two short straight hair that just barely touches her shoulders.
Momo has a unique background as her mom is Japanese and her father is Russian and it shows on her round face with her flawless cream skin fits her voluptuous fit figure but only in the sense that you would call her a pinnacle of genetics. From looking you would never assume she absolutely hates going outside excessively mostly she reads and watches a metric ton of anime, which is where the common greeting people give her of "Domo Momo!" comes from she's become so used to it now she just goes along with it.
"Doesn't it get old saying that shit every time you see her." I say shaking my head. "You would think so huh Drai." Momo says pulling her silky hair behind her ear, it startles me every time I hear her say my name considering she's mostly the reason behind why my nickname was made.
