The ten years agreed upon with the Tos Civilization had quickly passed. Humanity's two Mother Ships, "Kunlun Mountain" and "Radiant Galaxy," were stationed above a Planet Fortress named "Karlavia."
The mass of this Planet Fortress was about 20% of the Moon's, not particularly large for a War Star.
Even so, the human Mother Ships still couldn't land directly and harshly on the surface because they were too enormous. To reduce their own weight, their outermost layers were thin aerogel structures, similar to balloons. They were never designed with the intention of staying on the ground.
However, orbiting the planet at a low altitude posed no problem.
The two Mother Ships stayed at the Starry Sky Port, about 80 kilometers above the ground, slowly rotating. The structure of this Starry Sky Port was also quite peculiar; since the Planet Fortress itself didn't rotate, it couldn't use centrifugal force to counteract gravity like conventional Space Elevators.
