Book of Adventure
Kane began murmuring to awaken the system.
An ancient and simple book gradually formed in the air before him. It had no visible thickness, only the words "Book of Adventure" on the cover. The lack of additional decorative patterns made it look both archaic and grand.
He waved his hand over the cover, and the pages began to turn.
However, because of the Magic Stone, only the first two pages could be opened, namely the Skill Extraction page and the Skills page.
The rest, which couldn't be opened, should be functions from the original game's tutorial for beginners.
He was looking forward to it very much.
The Skill Extraction page had a gorgeous circular Magic Array drawn on it, consisting of a pentagram and several smaller circles. Its purpose was to produce Empty Magic Stones, which could then be filled to extract Skills.
The strength of the extracted Skills was linked to the color of the Magic Stones.
Magic Stones are categorized into: Copper, Silver, Golden, and Colorful.
A single Magic Stone can only absorb Magic Power of the same color, and Kane could see the color and amount of Magic Power in creatures.
This ability allows him to assess and avoid potentially dangerous creatures.
He then turned his head to look at the Skills page.
[Skill Grid 1]
[Name: Eagle Eye]
[Category: Active Skills]
[Color: Copper]
[Explanation: Spend Magic Power to transform your eyes like an eagle's, seeing farther and clearer.]
[Introduction: This is just the first step forward — Gerry Horn, Body Enhancement Class]
[Skill Grid 2: Empty]
[Skill Grid 3: Empty]
[Skill Warehouse: Spider Nest Weaver]
There are currently 3 Skill Grids, but it is unknown if more will be added in the future. The Skills within the grids can be freely mixed and matched, but changing them has a cooldown time of 1 hour.
The Eagle Eye, which is already on the Skill Grid, was placed in the Skill Warehouse when he first crossed over, as a beginner's reward.
This Skill helped Kane become the best Hunter in this small town, surviving the toughest early days of his crossing.
Although, it could also be because there are only 3 Hunters in this small town.
Kane dragged the long-awaited Spider Nest Weaver from the Skill Warehouse into Skill Grid 2.
At this moment, the system prompt sounded:
[Do you want to install Spider Nest Weaver?]
"Yes"
[Installation Successful]
[Please proceed with the initial Skill setup]
[Choose the placement for the ejection ports of the Skill attachment]
A diagram appeared before him, showing a downsized 3D model of Kane's body, rotatable 360°.
Kane thought for a moment and placed two ejection ports on his wrists, thinking this position would allow better aiming and release.

As the words fell, a stabbing pain followed, and his wrist started trembling from the intense pain.
Just as Kane gritted his teeth, on the verge of crying out, the severe pain suddenly lessened and then disappeared.
He exhaled, closed his eyes, and began to feel the physical changes brought by the Skill and its operation method.
The ejection ports on his wrists were not holes as imagined, but sealed white spots that felt no different to the touch.
After feeling for a while, Kane aimed his hand at the ceiling, his wrist twitching. A white thread shot towards the ceiling, spreading out at the end and sticking.
"Haha, now please call me Kane Spider-Man, the good neighbor of Kara Town."
After saying this, he grabbed the web, did a flip, and landed on the floor.
"Woo-hoo"
He turned again, flicked the cup on the table with his right hand, and used his left hand to throw out a web to pull the chair over.
In an instant, when he came to, Kane was already sitting in the chair, drinking water.
The sensory experience brought by the Spider Nest Weaver far exceeded that of the same-level Eagle Eye. All the panic brought by crossing over to an unfamiliar place, with its unfamiliar lifestyle and uncertain future, completely dissipated at this moment.
What remained was hope for the future and anticipation for more Skills.
Settling down, Kane began waving his wrists around the room, performing various fanciful operations.
When the Magic Power was exhausted, the entire room was in chaos. The web stuck everywhere showed who was responsible for the disorder.
But no one can blame a man newly acquiring a toy, just like a boy picking up a straight branch by a field of rapeseed.
Sitting on a chair to rest and regain some Physical Strength.
With a snap of his fingers, the webs burned away to ash.
The webs produced by Kane's Magic Power can still be controlled by him even outside the body.
He could even reshape them into other forms for flexible operation when forming the webs.
After tidying up the house, he lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling in slight contemplation.
The effects brought by the Skills made him start thinking about the strength of the system and the direction of the future.
Outside the house
Crescent moon, gentle breeze, chirping insects
And a distant wolf's howl.
......
Early morning, when the sky was just getting light, and the sun had not yet risen.
Kane was awakened by a series of urgent knocks on the door.
"Knock, knock, knock"
"Coming, coming"
As Kane opened the door and looked outside, he saw a young boy with faint freckles on his face and messy blond hair. He had a physique stronger than his peers, this was Uncle Ge Mu's child.
"Little Gemu, why are you looking for me so early? I haven't even found any bird eggs this time."
"No, no, it's because my father asked me to find you, telling you to quickly go to the little river bridge side, saying it's urgent."
Upon hearing this, Kane quickly returned to his room.
"Wait for me. I'll get dressed, and then we'll go."
After getting dressed, Kane slung his bow and went out.
He hurriedly walked with Little Gemu.
"Did Uncle Ge Mu say what it's about?"
"No, the night watch came to find my dad this morning in a hurry. Dad listened to what he said and then sent me to find you. He went ahead; I haven't even had breakfast yet."
There weren't many people on the road at this time, but as the largest nearby town, various shops and stalls were already set up.
Kane casually bought two honey white fruits from a nearby stall, handed one to Little Gemu, and said.
"Eat quickly, before your father sees you."
Kane hadn't had breakfast yet and was still hungry.
These fruits were much like snacks from his past life, favored by children but disliked by adults, though, to be honest, they were indeed tasty.
Taking a bite, it had the texture of an apple with the taste of a pear, and a hint of honey flavor.
When the fruit was finished, the small river could be seen in the distance, and on the opposite bank of the river bridge, a large group of people could be vaguely seen gathering.
Uncle Ge Mu was already waving his hand, indicating for Kane from afar.
Even at this distance, Kane could smell the faint scent of blood in the air.
He quickly walked towards Uncle Ge Mu.
Uncle Ge Mu came over, opened his arms to hug Kane, and said.
"Come quickly; we need your help, first hunter. Of course, Little Gemu, you must turn back to find your mother now."
"Ah~"
Little Gemu cried out, trying to gain a bit of freedom of action. But seeing his father already indicating with his fists, the suppression from his bloodline inevitably forced him to act.
After watching Little Gemu head back into the town, Uncle Ge Mu began to lead Kane towards the direction of the crowd.
