Rose PoV
We walked back to the palace to rest. It was a bit embarrassing, like we were leeching off of the hospitality of Halim and Aquarina.
"Back so soon?" Halim said, smiling.
Anis gooed as she held the shell.
Halim chuckled. "Oh, you found a very bi ell!"
Anis giggled, moving it up and down as if it were one of her plushies.
"If you think about it, the hermit crab that was using it before must've found an even bigger one," Saffron said.
Anis blinked as he looked up at her daddy. She let out a curious coo.
Saffron smiled as he bounced her in his arm. "That's right, my little princess. This shell used to be someone's home, and now it's yours to share with Hinata."
Anis looked up at her daddy, her eyes wide with curiosity. She let out a soft, inquisitive coo as she pondered the idea of the shell's previous occupant. Her little fingers traced its smooth, spiraled surface, as if trying to imagine the creature that once called it home.
