The only thing ringing in Seraphina's head was what E had just said—our girlfriend. She blinked, as if trying to process the words again, but no matter how many times she replayed them, the meaning stayed the same.
Electra's Phoenix side had just claimed her, too. Not as a friend, not as someone to tolerate, but as someone she was apparently dating alongside Electra.
Seraphina frowned, the confusion clear on her face. Her brows drew together, and she tilted her head slightly as she tried to wrap her mind around what had just happened.
E must have noticed, because a second later, she burst into a loud, amused laugh, the sound echoing through the quiet room like she had just heard the most hilarious thing ever.
"Oh, come on, you should see your face right now," E said, still laughing.
