Jimmy had been observing Byrne, who flipped through some papers in Watson's office and then picked up the phone. After a while, he hung up, then crouched down and opened the safe beneath the cabinet. Jimmy had seen this safe before during previous visits to Watson's office, when Watson had taken no notice of him scanning every item in the room.
Byrne took something out of the safe, put it in his backpack, and then turned and left Watson's office.
"Bang bang" two gunshots sounded, and Jimmy turned Heart Eye's gaze toward the direction from which the gunfire came, the command center. He saw a figure charging toward the glass door—the shots had apparently been aimed at the glass—and watched the figure shatter the glass and break out. It was Kerry.
