Hank Pym was so excited he stood up, staring at Tony Stark in disbelief. He was Howard Stark's son, after all—whatever Darren was planning, in his eyes, it must look like child's play.
"How could I forget this detail!"
In that moment, Dr. Pym finally understood why Alan had introduced Scott to the Avengers' base.
Did that mean Alan had already foreseen the events of today?
With that thought, Hank Pym felt more and more that Alan was shrouded in mystery—
It was as if nothing in this world could escape his eyes.
Alan simply returned a calm smile, unfazed.
He didn't want to intervene himself, just as Tony had suspected—if _he_ stepped in personally,
None of this drama would be happening at all.
But Alan didn't want to alter the story too drastically.
If he interfered, Scott might never have any connection to the Avengers.
Scott squinted and asked, "So… my earlier suggestion…"
"Scrapped," Hope exhaled in relief.
"With Tony here, we can forget all those scanners, micro-net filters, and whatever else."
This entire plan only became viable thanks to Alan's connections—otherwise, it would've been incredibly dangerous.
"However…"
After a long silence, Alan finally spoke.
"We could still sneak Luis and his crew in among the security staff."
Scott turned his head sharply. "Luis? Those guys…?"
"Having our people on the inside will make everything run more smoothly," Alan replied casually.
Truthfully, he just wanted to see those three clowns in action—after all, with their natural 'talents' and rap-like speech, he thought it'd be fun to watch them live.
"That means…" Hope seemed to catch on to something.
"Are _you_ on the guest list?"
Alan nodded.
Wanda, standing beside him, pulled out an official invitation from Darren Cross from her pocket.
…
The day of the expo arrived.
Hank Pym, Tony Stark, and Alan—all officially invited—walked into the venue together.
Thanks to Hope's arrangements, Luis and the other two goofballs had already blended in among the security personnel.
This allowed Hank Pym to secretly carry weapons for self-defense.
Alan had come along because he wasn't sure if Darren—driven mad—would try to shoot Hank Pym like he did in the movie.
With a fake smile plastered across his face, Darren strode directly toward them.
The moment he saw Alan and Tony, his smile faltered for a split second—then he forced it back on.
"So my former mentor knows both Stark and Mr. Alan… No wonder he chose to abandon me back then."
Darren clearly still held a grudge against Hank Pym for the past.
Fortunately, with Hope's support, Hank had been voted out of the company.
"This must be Mr. Cross," Tony said, switching into his polite, professional façade instantly.
He wasn't about to be baited by Darren's words.
Soon, many of the guests at the expo were drawn over by Tony and Alan's presence,
Completely ignoring the fact that Darren Cross was supposed to be the host of the event.
"Oh my god, it's Mr. Stark and Mr. Alan!"
"I can't believe you're here today—can I get a selfie? An autograph? I'm a huge fan!"
At the mention of _"huge fan"_, Alan suddenly thought of a certain Quill busting awkward dance moves on Xandar.
Meanwhile, standing to the side, Darren Cross's face turned dark as thunder.
_He_ was supposed to be the star of today's event.
But all the attention—_his_ spotlight—was completely stolen by Alan and Stark.
