After a period of intense tension, when people enter a safe environment and start to relax, they gradually begin to feel drowsy.
Lance dozed off in a daze until he heard a knock on the door. It was only then that he opened his eyes and looked towards the door to see Corinda standing there, "Mr. William would like to see you."
Lance rubbed his neck and asked her to bring two cups of coffee and also to let the visitor in.
Once William came in and saw Lance sitting there unharmed, he finally breathed a sigh of relief. He sat down beside Lance and asked with a frown, "What happened?"
Lance shook his head, "Not sure, but it's just the same old story, someone felt I was in their way, and then tried to kick me aside..."
"Thank you!" Corinda came in with two cups of coffee, which she placed on the table. Lance picked one up and took a small sip.
A strong taste of cream and the thickness it brought with it—it was actually quite nice, despite being excessively hot.
