After Lance's convoy returned to the Imperial District, everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief. Faces were gloomy, with only the passersby showing smiles.
They truly liked Lance and genuinely hoped nothing bad would happen to him. Luckily, God had watched over them, and Lance was back!
The convoy went straight to the office, and it was Madol who got out of the car first. He checked the surroundings with the old soldiers, their guns ready, before allowing Lance to get out.
They had driven the cars back, and even though they looked like sieves from the outside, these vehicles had saved their lives.
Moreover, should they come under attack again, the cars would still offer good protection.
Once inside the office, Lance's whole being relaxed. He took off his coat, threw it to Corinda (one of the girls), then went into his office and took a bottle of whiskey from the bookshelf.
He needed to unwind.
