Chapter 312 - Next Part of the Forest

"So this is a situation that my village has actually experienced?"

Diana was still a bit incredulous. That village that she had lived in since she was a child, which was so ordinary, was actually hiding such a big secret? The point was that the people in the village would actually forget such a big thing...this was too abnormal...

"It's actually understandable, after all, it may have been too long ago when your village experienced this so-called 'liberation'. But because these energies are simply too powerful, even you, a junior, have some of them hidden in your body."

Rope stroked his chin and pondered for a moment, then said, "I guess the odds are that the green glow should be grass-attribute energy. Is there a grass attribute mark on your village's traditional clothing?"

He had already determined that what he had seen on the mural on the stone pillar by the altar earlier was the traditional dress of this village. He said why he looked so familiar with that mark. It turned out that it was hidden in the ornamentation of their clothes.

"There should be a symbol, our village hasn't worn traditional clothing for a long time. Nor do we have any ritualistic habits.

Speaking of which, Diana held her forehead somewhat feebly...

Other people's villages were all sorts of strange, but her own village was all sorts of ordinary, if her own village also had so many strange and weird things, maybe she would have started researching about it a long time ago. In that case, she might have accomplished something long ago.

Unfortunately...there were no ifs.

Rope also didn't know that she could actually think of so many things in such a short period of time, and thought that Diana's regret was because she wasn't able to help, so she opened her mouth and comforted, "It's fine, we can go to the village and take a look around on our way back, maybe there will be some unexpected gains."

Diana didn't voice out her thoughts either, and just nodded silently. This idea of wanting to replace one's boss had could be, but it was better not to let the boss know about it.

"So are we going to the next village in the forest next?"

Whitley asked as she opened her mouth while organizing the information related to this incident with Yutsuki and Eri.

"Eh, let's go there." Rope didn't hesitate, this was the plan that was originally booked, even as this village got much, much more than what was planned, so he was looking forward to see if the next village would surprise him with anything.

And what Rope didn't know was...the next village, might be more of a shock.

With that, after a brief cleanup, Rope, Whitley and Diana said goodbye to Eri and Yutsuki. Since Daisy was not here right now, some projects had already started at the institute. So Rope had no intention of leaving the institute behind...

So she had to let Eri and Yutsuki go back to the institute to take care of these things. Besides, they weren't field researchers in terms of their position. The education they received in school was also related to pure research.

That's why Rope didn't bring them along. It really wasn't because of any proximity...Rope wasn't that pedantic, after joining the institute, he was a member of the institute. That is to say, the people under his command.

A person who can't even protect the people under his own hand and can't give enough help doesn't deserve to lead others...

Although Eri and Yutsuki wanted to be part of the trip, they knew how dangerous and important it was, and if they couldn't help, it was better not to be a drag, the two Ropes would be able to protect them. If something really goes wrong, Rope may not be able to protect four people...

"Sister Diana, don't you know this village exists?"

Whitley asked with some doubt. After all, it seemed that these villages were all connected to each other. But why not let these villages know about each other?

"I don't know about the existence of this village. I only know about Eiichi-brother and his village's village, and I used to hear Grandpa say that there seems to be another village that we were in constant contact with, but it was broken off a long time ago..."

"Why was it broken?"

Rope interrupted Diana and asked.

He felt that this matter was very important, so he couldn't help himself, but he didn't mean to interrupt Diana.

Diana didn't care about these minor details, she just recalled for a while and then said, "I'm not very clear about the specific reason, but from grandpa's reaction, it should be because the other party just disappeared or something like that... And grandpa said that he only saw the people from another village when he was very young, and after that, he never heard of them again. news of them anymore."

Rope nodded as he listened, that fit with what he had guessed earlier as well...

"How long before we get there?"

Whitley asked again. After asking she couldn't help but let out a big yawn... it couldn't be helped, last night the girls first got high at the bonfire. Then they talked into the wee hours of the morning. Then it was early in the morning when Rope got up and set off.

"Why so sleepy? Didn't sleep well last night?"

Rope looked somewhat suspiciously at the faint dark circles under the eyes on both Whitley and Diana's faces. Both had delicate and pale skin. But where there was some haggardness it could be easily detected.

Whitley stammered and didn't say anything, after all, they were talking about gossip about Rope...what to say to Rope. We talked about you until the wee hours of the morning?

You don't want your lunch today?

"Rope, did Haunter evolve?"

Whitley asked as if she suddenly remembered something.

Rope gave her kudos for her increasing skill at changing the subject, getting more and more like her own student. The good ones hadn't been learned much, but these not-so-good habits hadn't been lost at all...

"Eh, had a comm evolution with Silver this morning. Used Galar's network communication...it was pretty convenient."

While saying that, Rope removed Gengar's Pokéball from his waist.

"Come out, Gengar."

With a flash of white light, Gengar appeared at Rope's side and gave Whitley and Diana a scissor hand.

To be honest Gengar's image was still very pleasing amongst the ghostly Pokémon. The little purple fat man was inviting in any way.

So Whitley also took Gengar in his arms.

"Honestly! Did you eat a Clefable!"

"Gengoo???? ("-□-)"

With that, Whitley rattled off the weight and shape relationship between Gengar and Clefable.

Then added, "Gengar, you must have eaten a Clefable in the swap network while being in the Link Trade!"

Gengar himself froze at that statement... so I evolved by eating a Clefable????

That's cruel !!!!

Rope shook his head helplessly looking at Gengar who was staring at him suddenly feeling like this Pokémon of his wasn't very smart.

"She lied to you..."

Rope said with a helpless sigh.

Gengar then had a look over at Whitley who poked her tongue out at him. The little purple fatty had his arms across his chest with an I'm ignoring you look on his face. So Whitley pulled out a Pokéblock.

And then it was just another beautiful day.Rope watched the interaction between the man and the ghost. Silently smiling bitterly.

Diana, who was driving the car, spoke up, "Professor, we're going to be in the forest up ahead, no more driving then."

Rope nodded and said, "Then we'll just go into the forest. Don't underestimate me, I've traveled too."

The corners of Diana's mouth twitched as she thought, "Who would dare to underestimate you...that's a truly pathetic person. It would be bad luck if it was an enemy."

The car stopped at the edge of a forest. Rope had Diana drive the car into a clearing at the edge of the forest. Then camouflaged the car. After all, it would be best for them to take the car when they left the forest. The Pokémon would have no problem with a long flight, it wouldn't matter if they took one or two people with them.

But the trainers would not be able to handle it...it was the same thing as riding a horse in the original world itself. Whether the horse is tired or not is another matter, but the human will definitely get tired.

After hiding the car, Rope looked at the forest in front of him, glanced at the two girls beside him and Hoopa and said, "Let's go!"

And so the group entered the forest.

"Rope, are we going in like this?"

Hoopa floated to Rope's side and asked with some doubt.

Rope nodded and said, "Uh, what else?"

"...Someone is following us!"

Hoopa exclaimed in a somewhat helpless whisper.

Rope didn't care and shrugged, "What? You scared?"

Hoopa was momentarily speechless...you'd be kidding if you really said that his titular Ultra Demon God would be afraid of a human who just looked so ordinary...but it just so happened that he'd seen far too many unbelievable things by following this guy in front of him.

Not to mention...that situation in the Thinking World at that time was scary enough on its own. A person or the dominant personality in a Pokémon's soul changed...that this was essentially no different from changing a person.

That's why Hoopa followed Rope relentlessly...technically that really counts as a life-saving favor...

"I'm not scared, but this time it's not the same as in the cave okay, Whitley and Diana are both there, we can protect them, but in case there are a lot of people on the other side...then the other side will have to pay the price."

Hoopa said with a somewhat serious face. Seriously, if it wasn't for Rope watching him from the side and not letting him take a shot at just anyone. Just the human behind them who was following them would have been captured by him long ago.

Not even tortured. It was either explain or die...in the end it was just a fight anyway. It's just killing...whether it's a human or a Pokémon, he doesn't like to kill, but he really doesn't have any mental barriers if he really has to do it is all...

The reason gods are called gods is because of the lack of humanity. Humans, in turn, categorize gods as good or evil because of their own views of good and evil.

In reality a god is a god.

"I won't stop you if I have to..."

If Rope might not be able to lay his hands on it himself, he'd still be okay with it as long as Hoopa wasn't in his face.

As the saying goes, a gentleman is far from a gentleman.

Hoopa nodded and silently drifted to the back of the group.

But having been interrupted by Hoopa like that just now, Rope also had some not-so-good feelings. It was as if there was something up ahead.

The danger wasn't so much, at most it would be a bit of trouble... unluckily, Rope hated trouble...

——————————————

"Brother, don't we need to arrest these outsiders?"

A teenager who didn't look too old stared at Whitley's back from a tree and licked his lips.

"Snap!"

"Mind your own business...I'll bury you under a tree as fertilizer if you get any more evil thoughts."

The youth withdrew the slap on the teenager's head and said with a cold face.

The teenager's eyes covertly flashed with meaning resentment.

But the youth didn't pay any attention to him at all. He looked at Rope's back at the very front, and there was a wary divine light flashing in his eyes.

"I'll go back... no, you go back and report to the Elders, saying that a very strong outsider has entered the forest, and that I'm not sure I'll be able to subdue the other party, so ask the Elders to send more people."

The youth coldly ordered.

"Why don't you go back brother? I'll just watch them."

The youth opened his mouth somewhat undeterred and inquired.

"If you're told to roll you roll."

A Bisharp appeared behind the youth at some point. The Splinter Commander's arm blade was placed on the youth's neck. The cold touch caused goosebumps to bulge on the youth's body.

"Brother..."

"I'm not your brother, so I won't spoil you either..."

The youth's face remained cold.

"You will definitely cause trouble for me by watching here...I don't want my mission to be botched because of you. Either get lost...or I'll report you as already dead."

A sardonic smile appeared on the teenager's face before he withdrew from the tree with nimble hands and feet. Moving quickly towards the depths of the forest.

Bisharp retrieved his arm blade and looked at the teenager's back as he left, revealing a look filled with murderous intent.

"Cha. (I really should have killed him after all.)"

The youth shook his head, "There's no need. It's just a little brute with a heart full of bad intentions but not a few points of strength. When I become the village chief, the first thing I'll do is to throw this beast that has corrupted the village's morale into the sacred lake and feed it to the fish."

The youth's words were still murderous, but they were filled with instinctive contempt for that teenager.

In his eyes, the teenager was a fly, annoying, but unable to hurt himself, but there was always something that would go wrong because of the fly.

He looked at Rope's back and instinctively felt that this man should be his chance... but he would have to wait for the right opportunity to do so...

So he silently followed Rope. keeping a distance that he thought was safe.

It was only this distance when he had followed the overlord of this forest back in the day.

This one though he couldn't tell the depths. But it couldn't be any stronger than that forest overlord.

What he didn't know was that a huge circling bear was currently shivering in its own tree hole because it had sensed the aura of a certain two guys.

You could even see a water stain if you looked closely.
