"I asked you if you hated me because that's what I have felt until now. I am not asking from a personal point of view but as a colleague," I sit up straight, meeting his eyes. "That's why I am here, right now having this conversation with you."
Rin scoffs, shaking his head. "You think that with how our lives are going to be connected that you can separate work from personal interests?"
"We are not there yet, and yet … yet here I am, feeling that you are punishing me for things I am not completely aware of." I can't keep the frustration out of my voice.
"Now you are feigning ignorance?"
"Is it really ignorance, or do you think I know everything and I am actively sabotaging you? I am an outsider, I have been here less than a month, and yet," I bite my lip, frowning. "Yet I feel that all you have done is push me and punish me for things I have no idea of. That's why I am asking you now to put those personal biases aside and talk as colleagues. That's why I am here."
