Zara walked out of the study. The book was still clutched in her grip, her heart heavy and in a daze as her father's words kept replaying in her head—
"Kaka killed him."
She didn't even notice her mom sitting in the living room as she walked past her like a zombie.
As she reached the center of the living room, her gaze darted to the big portrait of Kaka hanging.
She looked up at it for what felt like forever.
"Zane was right. I am finally beginning to see it. Kaka is scary." She mumbled.
"Zara, are you al…"
Zara turned to her mom, flashing the most saddest smile at her, "Good night, mom."
With that, she turned towards the door and walked out.
Elizabeth looked back at her husband who was also just coming to the living room.
His blood shot eyes gave him away.
"What did you discuss?" She asked, curious and confused.
Henry flashed a smile almost identical to Zara's, "She asked about Kaka."
Elizabeth eyes widened, her heart picking up, "Did you lie to her?"
