Chapter 28 - Chapter 28

Hyacinth sighed. "I prefer women," she said, rejecting him outright.

Even though she had been getting a lot of invitations lately, it didn't test her patience at all—she was used to this kind of attention ever since she was a child.

In the canteen, everyone was whispering—after all, both of them were well known in the school. The brown haired boy was especially popular among Alphas and beta boys. He fit the image of the ideal "femme boy," and everyone was used to seeing him get attention.

Likewise, they were used to seeing Hyacinth reject people.

She glanced at her friends and walked away. The others quickly followed after her.

Soren asked, "Is it really okay to reject him so directly?" After all, that boy had a long line of fans who admired him.

Hyacinth simply nodded and said nothing more.

So, the three of them didn't press the issue any further.

As they passed through the cafeteria doors, Aurora caught sight of the teacher who had been teaching her for the past few weeks. She wanted to greet her, but the teacher was deep in conversation with another male teacher. Aurora decided to leave her be and kept walking.

They took their usual seats at their four-person table, with Soren and Sora sitting beside each other as always.

Hyacinth remained quiet the entire time they were eating. Soren and Sora both tried to start a conversation with her, hoping to lift the mood, but nothing seemed to work.

Eventually, they chose to stay quiet too.

Hyacinth kept sighing, to the point where Aurora noticed. She looked at Hyacinth with a big question mark in her head.

Is she still in the phase where she can't get over Rose Sallow, the female lead or something?

Aurora was slowly eating her food out of habit, while the other two had already finished and were now just waiting—one for the girl who kept sighing, and the other for the one who always ate slowly.

Sora couldn't help but ask, "Aurora, did your second gender report from when you were younger say you were an Omega?"

Sora was much more of a foodie and had already finished her meal, even though she ate more than Aurora—despite also being an Omega.

Soren was curious too. Aurora didn't come from a well off family, so it was surprising to see a soon to be female Alpha eating so slowly—like a refined young lady. Especially considering both she and Sora were from wealthy backgrounds.

At first, it was a bit embarrassing to eat too fast around Aurora, but eventually, they got used to it. They never really had the chance to ask about it, though, since they were always chatting away while Aurora sat there quietly, eating in peace.

And they didn't dare disturb her—she might eat even more slowly if they did.

Aurora stayed calm, lying blankly. Since the original host of this body had similar habits to hers, she didn't need to lie too much to avoid being exposed.

"Ever since I was a child, I ate slowly," she said.

The original host's parents had this sort of rule or mission—to eat slowly at every meal.

Even the original host had been pulled into it.

That's why she developed the habit of eating slowly, too.

Both Sora and Soren had an O shape on their faces in surprise.

Sora said, "That's rare for an Alpha."

Both of them nodded in agreement.

Aurora couldn't exactly admit that she wasn't from this world—could she?

She raised an eyebrow and asked, "Why are you guys assuming I'll turn into an Alpha? I might end up becoming a Beta, you know?"

Sora had a deadpan expression. "Of course you'll be an Alpha! Look at your height—you're taller than most so called Alphas."

Soren gave her a thumbs up in agreement.

Aurora sneered—she didn't want to be an Alpha at all!

She ignored them and their heart shaped fingers as they started teasing her, saying she'd have a whole harem if she turned into an Alpha.

Sora even joked, "Please don't choose me... unless you want to be my sugar mommy."

She didn't respond but suddenly felt someone glaring at her coldly. She looked up and saw Soren staring right at her, making a cut throat gesture with her finger. Then Soren burst out laughing.

Aurora just rolled her eyes.

She felt a tug at the side of her shirt. She looked to her side and saw Hyacinth staring at her.

"Don't have lust when you turn into an Alpha. You should know what's appropriate and what's not—then blah blah,"

Aurora couldn't listen to her like some motherly advice. Hyacinth was acting like an older sister, even though she was only a few months older.

And she had the audacity to give her advice about lust? Like hell, Aurora knew what Hyacinth was really like—in that 18+ novel, she was the horniest one of them all.

Knowing what she did with the female lead was... questionable. They even did it in the classroom, the teacher's office, the side of the hall, the bathroom—you name it. Every corner, everywhere, every minute, every second. Every position.

You guys were doing a lot.
