Chapter 108 - Chapter 108: The Otherworld

"What kind of domain is this? Damn it! How can there be an existence surpassing the fourth level in an unstable [landscape]? That's impossible!"

The Tower Master of Whiteheart looked deathly pale, his eyes filled with terror and fury.

He gritted his teeth, his eyes wide in disbelief at the reality before him.

However, this was no time for contemplation.

The moment the cross-world transmission failed, he immediately activated the source power of the Wizard World!

Drawing upon the power of the Wizard World was directly linked to his Morning Star essence, and every bit of power he used drained his vital energy.

Although he wasn't as reckless as the Lord of the Furnace who would go as far as shattering stars to maintain an interdimensional passage and pull in creatures from other worlds every ounce of source power he consumed was an unbearable loss!

Boom!

At that moment, the entire labyrinth was suddenly locked onto by a terrifying gaze, as if the entire space had been suppressed under an overwhelming force!

A force that was inescapable and irresistible.

It was the power of the Wizard World!

The Tower Master of Whiteheart trembled slightly, his face ashen, but with the help of this force, he forcefully broke free from the domain's shackles.

With a flicker of light, his figure vanished instantly.

However, as he disappeared, the Nature Wizard who had been enduring the immense pressure of the heavens flicked his fingers causing a single maple leaf to vanish into thin air, transforming into a force that pursued the fleeing Whiteheart Tower Master.

At the same time, the power the Tower Master had drawn from the Wizard World erupted like a raging storm, sweeping through the entire labyrinth.

Countless spaces were forcibly suppressed under this force, plunging everything into absolute silence.

Inside the Dreamscape, Lynn saw the golden scales nearby flicker violently with a blinding red light.

"Energy insufficient… Energy insufficient…"

Warning messages floated before him, as every part of the labyrinth suffered from a devastating impact.

On the other side, the Lord of the Furnace's expression darkened, a deep sense of unease welling up inside him.

"What exactly is inside the [landscape], that could force him into such a desperate situation…?"

Meanwhile, the numerous wizards and apprentices exploring the labyrinth all froze in place.

One by one, they looked up in astonishment at the sky, completely clueless as to what was happening.

The terrifying force that swept across the labyrinth originated from the deep well of the Wizard World.

Logically, once the Tower Master of Whiteheart escaped, this overwhelming power should have begun to weaken.

However, to everyone's shock, not only did it not diminish, but it grew even stronger, escalating to an unimaginable degree!

At this moment, the Nature Wizard seemed to be completely locked down by the power of heaven and earth.

His entire body was restrained, unable to move even a fraction of an inch.

Even worse, this force not only became stronger but also carried an inescapable targeting effect, pinning him down completely.

The maple leaf drifting in the air withered and crumbled into dust under this oppressive power.

Boom!

With an earth-shattering explosion, the Nature Wizard's domain collapsed instantly.

The scattered energy was devoured into nothingness, vanishing into the void.

And his situation became even more dire.

His actions, his thoughts, even the subtlest of perceptions all were completely frozen in time, as though he had been trapped in the unyielding currents of an eternal river.

He was like a figure forcibly embedded into a still painting, the sole subject of the scene, yet utterly powerless to escape.

From within the Dreamscape, Lynn's expression changed drastically.

His eyes were fixed on the area where the Nature Wizard was, watching as an intense crimson light engulfed the entire space.

It was red so red that it resembled fresh blood, dyeing everything around it.

His heart pounded violently.

It was as if that space could explode at any moment.

But what shocked Lynn even more was the sudden descent of a streak of starlight.

A figure emerged from the starlight, and the entire scene fell into absolute silence.

"…Who… is that?"

Lynn murmured, his eyes fixated on the mysterious silhouette.

It was a man wearing a long robe embroidered with celestial patterns.

He held a compass in his hand, his brows furrowed in an expression of deep gloom.

The aura emanating from him was suffocating, as if he alone commanded the vast expanse of the endless cosmos.

Inside this completely frozen space, the winds had stopped, the clouds had stilled, and time itself had halted.

The only being able to move freely was this Enforcer Wizard clad in starlight robes.

He scanned the frozen battlefield, his expression growing ever darker as he muttered:

"So this is what the Furnace Stone meant by 'no traces of foreign [landscapes] within the domain'?"

His fury toward the Furnace Stone surged uncontrollably, and he had probably cursed it a hundred times in his heart already.

According to the Supreme Covenant's Special Supplementary Agreement, which had been passed unanimously by the Wizard Council

Until the war between civilizations was over, all wizards were required to unite and work together.

And the very first clause of the Supplementary Agreement was to prioritize the elimination of all "foreign intrusions" into the Wizard World namely, these accursed [landscapes]!

The Furnace Stone had failed to fulfill its duty!

"When I return, I'll file a complaint against the Furnace Stone at the Wizard Council! This mess is completely unacceptable…"

The Enforcer Wizard grumbled under his breath as the compass in his hand trembled slightly.

Inside the compass, hundreds of delicate needles were swinging wildly, nearly off the charts.

This meant that whatever was happening here had already surpassed his authority as an Enforcer Wizard.

If not for the unique privileges of his profession, which allowed him to directly invoke the Wizard World's guardian array,

Perhaps by now, he wouldn't be any better off than the Morning Star Wizard who had just fled in panic.

Yet his gaze remained eerily calm.

Through the faint glow of his compass, he murmured:

"This body… it truly belongs to a wizard. But its mind and soul they're completely different."

With that, he pressed his fingers lightly against the compass.

A crimson light burst forth, sweeping over the Nature Wizard's immobilized form.

This was a special wizardly mark, designed specifically for tracing and analyzing the essence of a soul.

As a civilization that had invaded countless dimensions, the Wizard World had long developed countermeasures against interdimensional intrusions.

Any foreign creature that stepped into the Wizard World's domain would be caught in this web of laws.

"…As expected."

The Enforcer Wizard narrowed his eyes, his gaze turning ice-cold.

"This is a foreign being that seized the body of a Nature Wizard… And what's even stranger is it shares the same aura as this [landscape]."

He put away the compass, his expression full of deep contemplation.

"Interesting… A [landscape] is supposed to be nothing more than a projection of a destroyed civilization. So how could an actual soul be born from it?"

"And more importantly, how could this soul not only possess an independent will but also be powerful enough to steal the body of a wizard?"

A storm of thoughts churned in his mind.

This discovery completely shattered his previous understanding of [landscapes].
