"Someone is letting vampires into our territory," Rai said darkly, his voice sharp and his eyes glowing crimson. He twisted a knife effortlessly between his fingers, the blade catching the dim light.
A nervous breath escaped Chad as he tried to maintain composure. "I haven't seen any vampires. I even cleaned up the mess you beasts left this morning."
Rai's patience snapped. "Your son was beaten by a blood demon, and Dolly was almost raped by one. Does that sound like a coincidence to you?"
Chad's hands balled into fists as he removed his jacket and hat, his tone stern. "I don't know anything about the blood demons. I've been loyal."
Rai tilted his head, his smirk filled with menace. "Then why's your son been off the grid for a while? Does that have anything to do with you?"
Chad's frown deepened. "Don't hurt my son," he growled, venom lacing his words.
Rai's eyes glinted with amusement. "Is that a threat?"
