Point 1: The Situation with Will Auceptin
To those claiming the protagonist is foolish for not killing Will Auceptin and dealing with the old man—I can't help but laugh.
The Will Auceptin restart point is in Backlund. Setting aside whether a Sequence 2 protagonist even has the ability to kill the Will Auceptin, how exactly would he escape after the deed?
Consider what kind of place Backlund truly is. The Mother of Heaven, Derrick, William, George III—who knows what other angels lurk there? You want to kill the Mercury Snake in that location? Aren't you concerned about divine intervention? What makes you think the protagonist has some special immunity?
If the Lord of Storms can strike down Amon, what makes you think the protagonist would be spared?
As for the old man—is the Evernight Goddess blind? Would she not notice?
Point 2: Mental Pollution and Treasure Consumption
To those asking why the protagonist doesn't directly devour the Sefirot since he's immune to mental pollution—are you speed-reading?
Did I ever write that the protagonist's mental pollution immunity has no limitations? Did I mention that the protagonist would need to find anchors later? Even at True God or Outer God level, he would still face pollution and need to battle his own divinity.
Furthermore, he already possesses a Sefirah. Why would he devour another when he has a perfectly functional one available? Why abandon what's readily available to go sword-fighting with the lord of the mysteries?
Point 3: The Klein Recognition Issue
Regarding recognizing Klein as master—since when does acting constitute recognizing someone as your master?
Did the protagonist worship Klein as a father figure and serve him? Did he commit suicide and give his characteristics to Klein to help him ascend to angel status? Taking casual role-playing so seriously is ridiculous.
I'm clearly laying groundwork here for the "Actor" pathway to be developed later in the story.
