The room turned silent for a moment as they both just stared at each other. Their gaze was unyielding, their eyes boring into one another. Then, Leonhardt moved his hands. Kaelith watched as he brought one hand closer to his face. His forehead knitted in confusion, unsure of what Leonhardt intended to do—but then, Leonhardt simply dropped his hand onto Kaelith's head and gently smoothed his black, curly hair into place.
Kaelith continued to look at him, and Leonhardt's lips moved. "Actually, your pheromones are flying about."
The straightness on Kaelith's face faltered as his eyes widened. His palm rose to his face as he muttered, "Why didn't you say anything before?"
"Because I'm happy that you're reacting to whatever I'm doing."
"You do know that Omegas don't react just because they like someone. They can do so out of anger, frustration, or embarrassment."
