Claire frowned. "My fault?"

"Was I supposed to do nothing when that insolent girl bullied my daughter in front of everyone?"
"Exactly. You were supposed to do nothing. Now, because of your heroic action, Barrington Corporation is about to face heavy bankruptcy."
"What? That can't happen? Not when we are the biggest investor in the Ashford group project."
"Not anymore, Claire. Not anymore! That bastard, Gael Ashford has returned all my investment money and has even went ahead to pay the fee for the breach of contract. Somehow, he was able to do it in such a way that Ashford group won't suffer any loss."
