Ravihiro's Reluctance
Ravihiro sat in the courtyard of the Sky Demon Sect, sketching the sunset when a sect disciple came running to him, panting heavily.
"Master Ravihiro!" the disciple stammered. "A strange object fell in the Beast Forest earlier today. The elders are debating whether it's dangerous or valuable!"
Ravihiro stopped sketching, his sharp gaze locking onto the disciple. "What kind of object?"
"It's... hard to describe, but it's emitting an ominous energy. The beasts around the area have gone berserk."
Ravihiro stood, his mind already racing. This might be worth investigating. But then, his thoughts drifted to Rumina. If she found out he was leaving without telling her, there would be chaos.
For the first time in his life, a tinge of fear crept into his heart. Not of danger, not of beasts, but of his wife's wrath. He sighed. "Why does she terrify me more than my enemies?"
Comedy Ensues
As Ravihiro prepared to leave, he attempted to sneak through the sect unnoticed. However, stealth was not his strong suit when Rumina was around.
"Where do you think you're going?" Rumina's voice rang out from behind him.
Ravihiro froze mid-step, clutching his travel bag. "Just... going for a walk."
"A walk? With a bag full of supplies?" She crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow.
Ravihiro turned, his expression calm but his heart racing. "I like to be prepared."
Rumina smirked, stepping closer. "Prepared for what? A picnic in the Beast Forest?"
He sighed, knowing she wasn't going to drop it. "It's nothing dangerous. Just... something I need to check."
She leaned in, narrowing her eyes. "You're not lying to me, are you, Ravihiro?"
"Why would I lie?" he replied, his tone flat.
Rumina gave him a long, scrutinizing look before finally stepping back. "Fine. But if you're planning to leave without me, just remember—there's no place in this realm where I can't find you."
Ravihiro's lips twitched, almost forming a smile. Why does she always have the upper hand
The Sect Teases Ravihiro
As Ravihiro made his way to the gates, a group of sect disciples spotted him.
"Master Ravihiro!" one of them called out. "Are you sneaking off again?"
Another chimed in, "Let me guess, you're running from Lady Rumina!"
The group burst into laughter.
"I'm not running," Ravihiro replied, his tone steady.
"Oh, we believe you," one disciple said with a grin. "But just so you know, she's already informed half the sect to keep an eye on you."
Ravihiro sighed inwardly. No wonder I'm afraid of her.
Ravihiro's Departure
Once he finally reached the outskirts of the sect, Ravihiro took a deep breath and set off toward the Beast Forest. The journey was quiet, the moon casting a silvery glow over the path ahead.
As he walked, his mind wandered. Why does she have this effect on me? I've faced beasts, cultivators, and countless dangers without flinching. But one glare from her, and I feel like a guilty child.
Shaking off the thought, he quickened his pace.
The Mysterious Forest
By the time Ravihiro reached the edge of the Beast Forest, the air was thick with tension. The once-familiar woods now felt different, as if something ancient and powerful had awakened.
He stepped cautiously into the forest, his senses on high alert. The cries of beasts echoed in the distance, their aggression amplified by the strange energy emanating from deeper within.
As he moved closer to the source, a faint, eerie glow began to illuminate the trees around him. The ground beneath his feet felt warm, pulsing with an unnatural rhythm.
Finally, he reached a clearing where the object had crashed. The sight before him made his eyes narrow.
A large, jagged crater lay in the earth, and at its center was a glowing orb, pulsating with dark and light energies that seemed to intertwine. The air around it crackled, distorting reality itself.
Before Ravihiro could take a step closer, he heard the faint sound of something slithering nearby.
