Elena moved back and like always, it felt like the wall moved closer because her back soon touched it.
She whimpered, her toes curling as she pressed herself harder into the wall as though she wanted to walk through it. "I do not owe you an apology, Xavier. I-if you had not entered my room without permission, you would not have gotten hit."
"Oh really? You're making an excuse for hitting the prince of this kingdom?" Xavier taunted, still moving closer.
"Well, I am the Queen." Elena countered.
Xavier rolled his eyes, "Oh, come on Elena, we both know you are not a real Queen."
Elena kept quiet, the words hurting more than they should, but then she said. "We both also know you can't be classified as a prince of this kingdom. A man who knows nothing about the affairs of a kingdom is no prince."
Xavier raised a brow, although his expression was still unreadable, there was a tiny glint of amusement in his blue orbs.
"Wow, she now has a feisty mouth too."
