Rionus shouted as he rolled to the side. A split second later, a flaming nail struck his former position, charring the ground.
The creature moved like a blur, attacking them one by one. Seraphina tried tanking its attacks but her shield was ripped through like paper. The hyena's claws tore through her torso, painting it with her blood.
"Guh!" The blue haired girl groaned in pain, her eyes blurring.
"Stay in there." Weng Lan said comfortingly, then locked eyes with the creature again—this time, something darker was brimming in her eyes.
Unaware of the potential threat, the creature mercilessly tossed the others around—breaking Aarav's arms and almost skewering Apollo. Hazel dodged a flurry of flaming nails expertly, yet she failed to dodge one that struck her thigh, ignoring her armor.
As it advanced to its next target, it noticed something strange. Several wounds began to appear on its body, both faint and deep.
