"Please, just stop this, Your Majesty," Odette implored in between her sobs. "You are scaring me."
The Masked Alpha looked down at Odette and gently caressed her hair, "Just hug me tight. Everything will be over soon, and we will be the only two surviving creatures on this planet."
"I don't want that!" Odette refused as she looked up at the Masked Alpha with tears-stained cheeks. Her cheeks were flushed with anger as she raised her voice even more, "Why should I be with someone who killed so many innocent people?! If you kill everyone, then I will find a way to kill myself!"
The Masked Alpha suddenly felt a terrible premonition the moment Odette threatened to kill herself.
He remembered how his original fated mate and many of her incarnations would often threaten him with their lives, and the Masked Alpha always took it seriously, because all of them truly had their ways of breaking the immortality curse he placed on their hearts.
