"Damn it!"
Kameda watched helplessly as Zhang Yang soared overhead, more frustrated than ever.
He jumped into the car and sped off in pursuit. The other Japanese agents followed, each driving as fast as they could.
The officers from the Enforcement Bureau were stunned. They had never seen anything like this before.
As they hesitated, unsure whether to chase or not, Harrison's team came rushing down from the rooftop.
Harrison and his men jumped into their cars, speeding off in hot pursuit.
"Ed Gold Vault is only six stories high—Kaitō Kid can't fly far!"
Just before landing, Zhang Yang turned his head for a quick glance.
Seven or eight cars were chasing after him at full speed.
A sly smile appeared on his face.
The so-called "First Sword of Huaxia" he had flashed on the rooftop was just a replica Zhang Yang made from a picture he found online.
He never actually entered Ed Gold Vault, let alone took the sword of Emperor Qin Shi Huang!
"Wow, Kaitō Kid!"
"Oh my god, it's really Kaitō Kid!"
"Kaitō Kid, I love you, I love you!"
As Zhang Yang landed, nearby people cheered in shock and excitement.
If he had the time, Zhang Yang wouldn't mind giving them autographs.
But not now—Kameda and Harrison were about to catch up!
Zhang Yang casually picked a sports car by the roadside, opened the door, and jumped in.
Just to make sure Harrison and the others didn't lose track, he even waited for them for half a minute!
"Vroom—"
He floored the accelerator, and the roar of the engine sent adrenaline surging.
The tires screeched as the rubber burned, and just as Harrison's car sped past the intersection, Zhang Yang's car shot forward.
There was plenty of traffic, but with his Super Driving skill, Zhang Yang's control over the car was beyond that of a pro racer.
From the moment he started, his foot never left the gas, the tachometer needle pinned near the redline, speed climbing higher and higher.
Behind him, Kameda cursed in frustration.
"Baka yarō, is he insane?!"
Their speed had already passed 150 km/h, but Zhang Yang's car was pulling away faster and faster!
At this speed, weaving through traffic was madness—every overtake felt like a near-death experience.
The Japanese agents riding with Kameda quietly buckled their seatbelts, gripping the handles tightly.
Just as Kameda hesitated, wondering if he should ease off the pedal, a black sedan shot past him!
"Come on, Kaitō Kid! Come on!"
Harrison was losing it too, weaving through traffic at breakneck speed.
His eyes saw only one thing—Zhang Yang's car.
Kameda was dumbfounded for a second, then gritted his teeth and slammed the pedal, pushing 200 km/h!
From the seven or eight cars at the start, only three or four managed to keep up.
A real-life Fast & Furious—no giant wrecking balls, no explosions.
But the speed? It was a face-to-face with death.
As they roared down the road, horns blared behind them.
Drivers being overtaken were scared out of their minds.
"What the hell? What's going on?!"
"Fuck! Driving like that is suicide!"
"Oh shit! These guys wanna fly or what?!"
They kept their speed above 200 km/h, weaving through traffic like maniacs.
Zhang Yang kept an eye on his rearview mirror, occasionally easing off the gas just so they wouldn't lose him too soon.
Finally, he rammed through a green metal fence, slammed the brakes, and jumped out, sprinting into a building.
It was an unfinished hospital, still under construction, with many parts incomplete.
As soon as Zhang Yang dashed into the hospital building, Harrison's car skidded in and stopped right beside Zhang Yang's abandoned sports car.
Harrison quickly swapped magazines and jumped out.
Even though he figured the car would be empty, caution was the mark of a true agent.
"Shit!"
Seeing no one inside, Harrison couldn't help but curse.
Just then, Kameda came barreling in as well.
But he had turned too sharply, and his car rolled several times before coming to a stop.
"Baka!"
Kameda kicked the door open, stumbling out with stars in his eyes.
"Where's Kaitō Kid? I'm going to tear him to pieces!"
While Kameda was still cursing, Itō Itsuki arrived with another car full of agents.
Meanwhile, Zhang Yang stood by a third-floor window inside the hospital, watching everything.
"Nice. Everyone I wanted is here."
Itō Itsuki stepped out, glancing at the sports car Zhang Yang had driven.
"Where's Kaitō Kid?"
Harrison turned his eyes toward the hospital building.
"He's probably inside."
"Why would he come here?"
Itō Itsuki drew his ninja sword, walking steadily towards the building.
Kameda followed, loading his pistol, now looking like an enraged demon.
That whole chase nearly killed Kameda several times, and he still ended up crashing.
Harrison growled coldly, "Kameda, you idiot, you planning to shoot Kaitō Kid dead?"
Kameda's gun had real bullets. He might not hit, but Harrison wasn't about to take that chance.
If he accidentally killed Kaitō Kid, all their work would be for nothing.
"Ah! Baka!"
Kameda snapped out of it, gritting his teeth as he holstered his weapon.
"Kaitō Kid, I'll make you pay for this!"
Kameda stormed after them with his men.
The three agents in Itō Itsuki's car were part of Harrison's team.
"We need to find Kaitō Kid before they do. Stay sharp!"
Itō Itsuki gripped his sword and entered the building. The hospital wasn't in use yet, no lights installed, the whole place was pitch black.
"Kaitō Kid! Why don't we fight fair and square?"
His voice echoed through the empty halls.
Even from the fourth floor, Zhang Yang heard it clearly.
He sneered and shook his head.
In several corners of the building, Zhang Yang had placed rubber dummies.
He wanted to give Harrison's team something to play with—otherwise, if they gave up too soon, where was the fun?
With the setup done, Zhang Yang returned to the third floor, hiding behind a pillar, waiting for Harrison.
Kameda wasn't even allowed inside Ed Gold Vault, and Itō Itsuki was just another Japanese dog.
Only Harrison's ID badge could get him in and out freely!
"Baka yarō! Kaitō Kid, come out now!"
Barely ten minutes in, Kameda was already fuming from the search.
Zhang Yang waited over twenty minutes on the third floor before Harrison finally showed up.
One other agent was with him, the four of them split into two teams to search.
Listening to their footsteps, Zhang Yang tracked Harrison's position, standing silently behind the pillar.
As Harrison walked past, Zhang Yang tossed a smoke bomb at his feet.
Harrison froze for a second, but before he could react, thick smoke engulfed him.
With a swift move, Zhang Yang appeared behind him, skillfully snipping the lanyard and snatching his ID badge.
"Harrison, you really need to work on your aim."
