"A visitor?" Claude frowned a little before waving his hand. "Can we just do this tomorrow? I really can't go today. We still have two days before the weekend. Either that or just send me a list of reminders about what to get. I really can't do this today."
"Give me your best excuse." Courtney lifted a brow. "Do you think I want to do this? I just have to do this because no one else will make you."
Claude sighed, took out his phone, and visibly texted in front of the girls. The women gasped in perceived rudeness, but Courtney only glanced down at the hand holding her phone. She checked the text message from Claude.
[That Guy: You have friends who received mates. I think you know why I can't go.]
Her glare stayed on her phone, only for her to glance at Claude first before typing furiously using one hand. Her action even puzzled her friends.
[Me: You have the nerve to tell me that?]
[That Guy: I tried not to. Can I go now?]
[Me: You're worse than Len.]
