Seeing Julie like this—frustrated, resigned, hopeless—infuriated Nina more than she could explain. She clenched her teeth, stormed forward, and grabbed Julie's arm.
"Come on."
Nina snapped, dragging her away from the portal.
"W-What are you doing? I need to be near the dungeon! If I don't manage the space, more people could die!"
Julie yelped, stumbling as Nina pulled her.
"Stop being dramatic. You're not managing anything right now. You're just standing there, waiting to throw yourself into a fight you can't win."
Nina shot back.
Julie tried to yank her arm away, but Nina didn't let go.
"You don't understand—"
"No, you don't understand! Even if you stay behind, what are you going to do? Stare the dungeon to death? You already said it yourself—you have no combat ability. It would be a pointless sacrifice."
Julie finally wrenched her arm free and took a step back, eyes wide with frustration.
