Nina narrowed her eyes at the glowing line etched into the rooftop and then looked back at Julie.
"Okay, this is… funny. You got me. Some kind of weird hunter prank, right? Pretend there's a dungeon break at school, make the newbie panic?"
She said, voice tight.
Julie didn't respond. She just stared back at Nina with a look that was dead serious—too serious.
Nina's laughter died in her throat.
"…It's not a prank, is it?"
Julie's silence was answer enough. Nina's stomach dropped. She swallowed hard and clutched Fenrir a little tighter.
"You're serious. You're actually serious about this. This is real."
Nina whispered.
Julie turned back toward the shimmer in the air, scanning it closely as her fingers twitched near the holster on her belt.
"I wouldn't joke about something like this. A dungeon's forming. The barrier's already too thin to stop it."
