Dr. Bruce Banner, a fellow scientist who also specialized in genetic biology, knew exactly what was wrong with Professor Connors' so-called regeneration serum.
To be blunt, it was a half-baked mess. Or worse—an outright failure.
It was missing the key component: the algorithm that could perfectly merge human and animal DNA.
Anyone who used the serum would either end up as some grotesque, not-quite-human monster...or suffer something even worse—their entire genetic code falling apart because the two sets of DNA couldn't fuse.
But that was exactly the outcome Banner wanted.
He had tried to end his own life more than once, desperate to escape the nightmares that woke him every single night.
But no matter what he did, the Hulk wouldn't let him die.
Until today—when he had a new idea: what if he used Connors' failed serum to completely collapse his own genetic structure?
Unfortunately, he seriously underestimated just how strong the Hulk really was.
His suicide attempt failed…But instead, he accidentally created something even more terrifying and powerful—
Four-Armed Hulk.
Two new arms tore through Hulk's already mangled skin as the new monster broke out of its old shell.
It raised all four arms in front of itself, slowly clenched its fists, and felt the overwhelming, terrifying strength that now surged through it.
Then, with a sudden roar, the Four-Armed Hulk threw back its head and let out a feral scream—
ROOOAAARRR!
The savage, bone-shaking howl echoed through the entire city—as if this monster was announcing its rebirth to the world.
As the roar faded, the Hulk lightly bent its knees and then—launched itself hundreds of meters into the air.
Thanks to the four arms, it could now hover in midair for a moment and even steer itself mid-flight.
As it reached the peak of its jump, it looked down at the busy streets far below.A twisted grin spread across its deep green, monstrous face—mocking, crazed, and disturbingly human.
Then it dropped.
Slamming straight down onto a moving car.
The poor little sedan never saw it coming. One moment it was driving along; the next, it was flattened into a pancake by a monster's foot.
The impact was so intense, it even smashed a deep crater into the concrete road.
"Oh my God—what is that thing?!"
Crowds of people stared in shock, completely frozen, some forgetting to even run.
BEEP BEEP BEEP!
"Get out of the way!"
At that moment, a medium-sized delivery truck was barreling toward the Hulk from behind, horn blaring non-stop.
The wild look on Hulk's face twisted again—this time, with something that looked eerily like annoyance.
Then, suddenly, the Hulk turned its head.
Only its head.
The whole body stayed still, but the neck cranked around a full 180 degrees.
"Wha—what the hell…?"
The truck driver stared at this creepy sight, paralyzed with fear. Then, without thinking, he let go of the brake and slammed his foot on the gas.
"Better to hit that freak head-on than die of a heart attack!"
That was the only thought in his head.
And... it worked. Kind of.
The truck shot forward with full force and smashed straight into the monster.
BANG!
If it had been a normal person, they'd have been sent flying a hundred feet through the air.
But the Hulk didn't budge.
It stood there like a wall.
The truck, on the other hand, crumpled on impact, its front end crushed inward like an aluminum can.
CREEAAAKKK—
Then, one by one, Hulk's four arms started rotating—like its freakish neck had.It reached out, grabbed the smashed truck...
...and ripped it in half from the middle like it was tearing paper.
Without a second thought, it hurled both halves like frisbees.
BOOM!
One chunk of the spinning wreck smashed into a building far away. The impact was so fierce, it looked like a plane had crashed into it—blowing a massive hole into the side of the tower.
"HELP! My leg—!"
"Run! That thing's not even human!"
Screams and cries filled the air.
Snapped out of their daze, panicked pedestrians finally started running for their lives.
The Hulk glanced around at the fleeing crowds—like ants scattering in fear—and sneered.
Then, without hesitation, it grabbed a nearby parked car...
...tore it in half...
...and threw one half straight at the running people like it was nothing.
"Hey, Green Giant—didn't your mom teach you not to litter?"
Suddenly, two streaks of silver-white web shot out and caught the flying car piece in midair.
Next thing you know, a slim figure in a black-and-white Spider-suit appeared out of nowhere.
The webs whipped the car chunk around in a full spin and flung it right back at the Hulk.
"You ugly... little... bug!"
With a casual punch, Hulk smashed the half-car that had been thrown back at him into pieces. And now—shockingly—he could even stammer out a few words.
The next second, his entire body leapt forward, charging at Gwen with such insane speed that even she hadn't seen it coming.
"Shit! How the hell is it so fast?!"
Gwen never imagined that something that looked so huge and clumsy could move like that. Even though her Spider-Sense was going off like crazy, she had no time to dodge.
All she could do was keep shooting webs at Hulk's face as he rushed toward her like a freight train.
"You damn bug!"
With his face covered in webs, Hulk only got even angrier.
He clenched his fist and swung it straight at Gwen with terrifying force.
"Shit, this guy's strength... It's way more than that Venom freak from last time!"
As Gwen was sent flying through the air, that was the only thought running through her mind.
Poor Gwen. Both times she's come up against a villain this dangerous, she's been totally outmatched.
BOOM!
Her whole body slammed deep into the wall of a high-rise building.
The impact was so intense that the entire structure started shaking, like it was about to collapse.
And Gwen, having taken that hit head-on, was in terrible shape.
That monster had nearly crippled her in just one hit.
But just as she was trying to push through the searing pain shooting through her body...
Her Spider-Sense flared up again—hard.
"F**k!"
At some point, Hulk had driven both hands deep into the pavement, and now, roaring with rage, he tore up an entire slab of concrete—massive, easily dozens of meters across.
Then, with all his monstrous strength, he hurled that multi-ton slab straight at her.
Gwen's face practically turned green to match his.
"What the hell do I do now?!"
Her brain was spinning, trying to think of a way out.
Sure, she could dodge—barely.
But if she did, the flying chunk of street would slam right into the high-rise behind her. That building had over a dozen floors.
No telling how many people would die if it collapsed.
And Gwen... Gwen wasn't the kind of person who could just let that happen.
She clenched her teeth. "Sorry, Peter. Looks like I'm gonna have to bail on our plans again tomorrow!"
Gritting through the pain, Gwen braced herself. She curled her legs against the wall, shooting webs from both hands to either side.
Using the tension from the webs and the explosive strength in her legs, she launched herself forward—preparing to take the full hit from that flying concrete slab with her own body.
But just then—suddenly—a familiar figure appeared right in front of her, like he'd teleported.
A red cape fluttered in the wind.
