Chapter 24 - Preparations 2

So, before the reporters downstairs could recover from their shock, over eighty cars and two hundred men from Heisenberg's building sprang into action.

They quickly loaded the seriously injured into vehicles and rushed them to the hospital.

As for those not immediately taken away…

They were dragged into spacious cars, given a brutal beating, and then sent to the hospital anyway.

Ten minutes later, Heisenberg's ears finally found peace.

But his work wasn't done.

He pressed the service bell, and Billy approached respectfully.

Heisenberg instructed,

"Contact two top PR teams—the most expensive ones. Spin today's events and post them online. You know how to spin it, right?"

"Of course. Your image won't be damaged at all. After all, you were just fighting enemies, and the battle was exceptionally fierce.

You saved New York! What are a few reporters' injuries compared to that?"

Billy finished with a mysterious smile and turned to leave.

Heisenberg nodded in satisfaction.

Look at that.

Having money, subordinates, and a team feels so good!

If Superman from the DC universe had had ample funds for PR from the start, how could he have been dragged into court by anti-Superman groups?

Thinking about it, Heisenberg, already embodying a Kryptonian, felt anger for his foolish descendant.

Letting a group of weaklings—ones you've saved repeatedly—put handcuffs on you!

This isn't something my Eastern Kryptonian blood can tolerate!

If it were Heisenberg, sorry.

I don't care who's right or wrong—it's about who's stronger!

If you're stronger, I'll back down. If you're weaker, I'll dominate. It's the law of the jungle.

Even if I back down temporarily, revenge can be served cold.

I, Gongyang Ruo Heisenberg, am no pushover!

But honestly, from an outsider's perspective, Heisenberg wouldn't blame Luthor or Batman for wanting to take down Superman.

Heisenberg respects their mindset:

Non-Kryptonians are inherently different and must be eradicated.

If Heisenberg weren't a Kryptonian, he'd definitely find a way to eliminate them.

Back to Superman's story.

What annoyed Heisenberg most was why Superman was summoned to court.

Because when fighting General Zod to save Earth…

He was saving the planet, but some people got hurt in the process.

So they sued him.

Being sued isn't the issue—of course it's not!

Either keep saving people or stop saving them altogether. Either way, there's no need to entertain those troublemakers!

Didn't you hide your identity for nothing?

Do they even know who you are?

If Heisenberg were sued, within three days, the main plaintiffs would disappear.

If Heisenberg were an ordinary person injured in a fight between Superman and his enemy, he'd sue Superman too—as long as Superman could actually be brought to court.

After all, whether the lawsuit succeeded or not, he'd become famous. After leaving the courthouse, he could eat off that fame for life.

Appear on shows, share his thoughts, become an influencer, write books.

Isn't that sweet?

But from Superman's perspective, seeing the people he saved demanding his punishment…

Would he think Zod was right?

Should he have let Zod rule Earth, as long as he didn't transform it into Krypton, stripping Superman of his powers? Then Zod could breed as he pleased.

If Zod could do that, even as a Kryptonian resistance leader, Kal-El's life would be better than as a superhero.

If Kal-El were replaced by Heisenberg…

He…

Well, he'd first gauge General Zod's attitude before deciding whether to eliminate them.

Heisenberg isn't Kal-El. He's ambitious.

Earth needs only one god, not an entire race.

But if Zod surrendered, Heisenberg might reluctantly accept him.

After all, he's a fellow Kryptonian.

Forgive Heisenberg—he's always been a hypocrite.

In short, Heisenberg won't follow Kal-El's path.

He'll never lose the battle of public opinion.

Spend as much money as needed, hire as many people as needed.

Whether manipulating presidential elections or forcing capitalists to improve hero laws, Heisenberg will erect an unassailable banner for himself.

As for how much hypocrisy lies beneath that banner…

Heisenberg thought—could he really be more hypocritical than American capitalists?

After all, their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

After his recent period of melancholy, Heisenberg now sees himself clearly.

He possesses a Kryptonian's limitless potential, the ability to traverse multiverses, and a system that can fulfill any dream!

With such advantages, if he still lets himself be wronged, wouldn't he be pathetic?

As for whether he's violent, bloody, evil, or cruel…

Is that even a question?

Just look at how he handled the reporters with a single word.

He has the means to solve the problems he creates and the ability to bear the consequences.

As an adult, isn't that enough?

As for that hero's adoptive father's famous line:

With great power comes great responsibility.

Isn't that just nonsense?

It should be with great treatment comes great responsibility!

And ability…

Whether I have the ability is my own business, isn't it?

Morality may be a standard, but everyone has their own moral code.

In Heisenberg's eyes, he won't harm harmless children, well-intentioned elders, or non-aggressive pregnant women.

But note—even these groups have exceptions.

After all, the world is vast. Who knows if there are children or elders evil to the core?

Even these traditionally privileged groups aren't guaranteed Heisenberg's mercy.

Let alone mature adults.

When Heisenberg stormed into the S.H.I.E.L.D. director's office, he was prepared to be attacked.

Bullets hit him, and he bore it without complaint.

But when agents fired at him, shouldn't they have been prepared for his counterattack?

When Fisk ordered Bullseye to test him the moment they met, wasn't Fisk already prepared for Heisenberg's resistance?

Even Heisenberg himself, when he smashed someone's head…

Wasn't he also prepared to have his own head smashed?

It's just that no one could beat him.
