Alexina POV.
I read through the book, trying to find any information that could try and help Malin and Abigail with their investigation.
Abby was becoming stressed and mentally insulting herself as she began to regret the little pause her and Malin had taken when investigating.
It's understandable but it's also not necessary.
If I bullied myself over getting involved with Billy, Hudson and Connor every day, I wouldn't catch a break.
"Okay." I sighed as I turned to face her. "Where did you last go? When investigating?"
"We had found a step on the field outside the academy." Abigail mumbled. "We didn't know that the step would open up the underground."
Tucking a piece of hair behind her ear, I watched as she covered her face with her hands and rested her head on the table.
"Abigail, your making this way more sensitive and difficult than what it needs to be." I glanced up at her as I turned a few pages of the book.
"Alexina you have never dealt with anything like this before, the dangers could be inexplicable." She raised her eyebrows as she flipped her book onto the desk. I leaned back into my chair and waited for her to continue talking.
Luckily she didn't.
The dangers I've experienced are nothing compared to what these guys deal with.
But in order to get their minds of people bullying them, we have to do something simple yet affective.
As we're aren't human kind, Our normal and simple is very very different to humane and mortal ways.
"All we have to do is go into the underground and find what we can. Once we do that, I'll get one of the boys and we'll let you know the rest," I smiled and Abigail nodded her head before looking up at me, a frown plastered on her face and I furrowed my eyebrows.
"What does he want?" She asked and I snapped my head behind me to see Grayson walking in step with TJ.
"Its more of... I have what you want." He smirked and I scowled at him.
Was he really listening into the conversation?
"I'll show you the underground if you give me one thing in return," he smirked again and I tried so hard to unclench my fist.
There is something about him that makes you hate him but you're also held towards him at the same time.
I don't know if it's his gorgeous looks or his dry personality.
"What do you want?" I asked him and I watched as TJ was too engrossed in his phone to listen to what Grayson was saying.
Grayson holds himself very well. His uniform fits his body impeccably. Its neither too tight nor to loose. His caramel brown hair is styled to perfection while the rest of him doesn't need to do anything because its his mysterious way with people that makes them attracted to him.
Why is it always the good looking, mysterious ones who are the most... you know... dicky.
"I want in on whatever this is,"
"No." I hit back and Abigail jumped while Grayson held his smirk.
"Why not?"
"Lucian."
"He won't be in on it,"
"And how do I know you aren't lying about this. You're-"
"A vampire? I know darling." He sighed. "Come on..." he groaned and I turned to Abigail.
This isn't even my investigation. Its Abigail's. She can decide.
Part of me wants him to be turned down, just so I can see the hurt on his face. The other part of me wants him to join, just so I can get to know him that little better.
Why? Not a clue but there is something about him. I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing yet.
"Fine." She held her hands up and Grayson grinned. "But if Lucian somehow finds out about this, I'll set Lexi on you." She smiled and I smirked at Grayson who hadn't even changed his expression.
His grin was plastered on his face like a five year old with a toy.
"See you guys later." He winked and I turned my head to Abigail and cocked an eyebrow up at her.
Is she joking? I can't believe she has just allowed him to join us.
One... Billy hates him.
Two... he bullied her and Malin.
Three... I don't trust him.
Four... I don't actually have a fourth reason.
"Dude," I groaned. "I can't believe you're going through with this,"
"Being nice doesn't hurt." Abigail laughed. "I think he is genuine."
"I don't. He is trouble."
"And how would you know?" Abigail grinned, raising an eyebrow and I kept a straight face before turning my head to see his nearly none visible body.
"He is a vampire. It says it all."
-----
Grabbing Billy by his arm, I dragged him towards the gate which we somehow have to get over in order to try and see Abigail and Grayson.
Billy has been protesting his opinion for the last half an hour and as hilarious as it has been, I'm tired and just want this over with.
Staring up at the black gate infront of us. Its about five meters high and I turned to Billy who frowned at the sight.
"Is this a set up?" He laughed. "How the heck are we going to get over this!?" He shrieked and I ignored him before glancing around me, trying to find some form of opening.
Billy began to kick the gate, his hands holding onto the steel bars as he stares between them like he is in a music video.
I noticed that there was a lock on the gate, all we have to do is see if it really is locked or not.
Gripping the lock, I beamed as I realised it wasn't fully closed and I slide the lock across and pushed the gate open.
Covering my ears as a scream echoed through the grounds, I searched for Billy who isn't on the ground, his smart ass is on the gate.
At the top.
Five meters high. That's not even that high.
Idiot.
"Billy. What are you doing?" I laughed as I stared up at him.
He looks like he is about to faint.
"I should have asked Hudson or Connor," I sighed and immediately he landed on the floor.
Brushing dirt off himself he scowled at me.
"What are we here for again?" He asked as we pushed through the long grass to try and spot Abigail and Grayson.
"To try and find a clue in the underground."
"Why?"
"Because we have to."
"Are you hiding secrets from me?"
"No Billy."
"Well then tell me what it is."
"Billy."
"Lexi."
"Shush. If we're successful, I'll tell you."
"And if we're not?"
"Then I won't tell you."
"How long until we get there?"
"I don't know."
"Are we there yet?"
"Grow up Billy."

Finally spotting Abigail and Grayson. I sighed in relief.
I've been friends with Billy since birth but that hour felt like a life time.
Happy that we are all dressed in black, I admired Grayson's attire. Even though its simple, he fits it perfectly.
His black shirt hugged his muscles as his tracksuit fitted his lower body loosely. My eyes travelled up to his face, only to catch him smirking at me.
Ugh.
"I see you brought Billy," he laughed.
"Shut it fangs. I'm here for whatever this is." Billy pointed to a small entrance. "Lets get it over with."
"Well for starters, we need to talk about who is going down there," Abigail pointed out. "Due to it being fire..." her eyes drifted to me and I nodded my head willingly.
"Sure-"
"Are you positive? Its pretty raw down there," Grayson held his hand out and I glanced at his hand before it was slapped away.
"She will be fine. I'll be with her," Billy intervened and I shook my head.
"Its okay, I'll go alone. Its only a script I'm looking for." I chuckled gesturing for Abigail to jump on the step.
"Lexi- if you get hurt-" I placed my hand on Billy's shoulder and he instantly relaxed.
"Mhm. I'll be back soon." I smiled before turning around and I nodded my head at Grayson and gestured for Abigail to put her foot on that damn step.
Instantly frowning at the smell, I quickly tied my hair up into a ponytail and threw my legs over the ladder.
Taking it step by step, I jumped off the last step and rubbed the dirt from my hands into my jeans.
The walls are dripping with water, yet you can feel the warmth of the fire, it seems like this place has been flushed with water. The disgusting smell of burning makes its way through my nose as i scrunched it.
Clearly this hasn't been dealt with properly.
My boots splashed in the water as I walked through. Ancient drawings are across the walls, some that look disturbing while others seem a little less odd.
My eyes stopped at one, there are eleven individuals facing different directions and one directly in the middle. My eyes travelled along to the drawing beside it, a drawing that looks like the cause of all destruction.
Trailing my finger across the wall, it showed the individuals doing what seemed to be hovering over one that is lying on the floor.
Pulling myself away from the wall, I focused on what I needed to do which is find this damn script.
The continuous splashes of water soaked through my jeans and I cringed at the feeling of taking them off later, my skin is going to feel so-
What the hell is that noise?
Treading carefully so that I made less noise, someone else is in here. I need to be careful.
Closing my eyes, I felt the colour change. Confident that I'm safe, I continued walking, and turned a small corner.
Blinded with nothing but darkness, I squinted my eyes, hoping that some form of object would appear.
"Are you sure?"
Listening in. I stopped in my tracks and held myself against the wall.
Its a feminine voice.
"Of course I am! What kind of question is that!?"
"Can't be too sure."
"Well I am."
Light splashes of water can be heard. Their voices seem rushed, they don't want to be caught.
Why the hell are other people in here?
"What the-"
A hand covered my mouth and I slowly looked uo to see Grayson stood beside me.
He raised his finger to his lips and shook his head, obeying him, we remained silent and I felt my stomach turn at our current scenario.
Vampires have sensitive hearing, so Grayson must have knew that they were here before I did. They also have better speed and reflexes.
Did he come all this way down here to help? Or is he the idiot that I think he is and is going to do this to rub it in my face?
"Maggie."
Maggie.
"If Alexandor finds out you have gone against his wishes-"
"He won't!"
Wow. Snappy much.
And who the hell is Alexandor? It better not be Windsor or I'm going to kick his old ass.
"The elementals, what if they figure it out?"
"Oh please. All we have to do is take care of Alexina like we did Bennett."
My heart stopped when I heard his name. And withim seconds Grayson tightened his grip on me as I tried to pull away from him.
This is the person who killed Bennett. It was a murder. It was a supernatural.
This is so much more than the disagreement over a crystal.
Whoever is involved in this, hates Elementals.
This is the start of a war.
