INT. SCIENCE LAB – NIGHT – MOMENTS AFTER BARRICADE
Darkness presses in around the heavy metal shelves wedged against the door. Only a single emergency light flickers overhead, casting uneven shadows on terrified faces.
LUCKY(whispering, voice trembling)They're pounding on the door… they can't get in, right?
KARTIK(firmly)These shelves hold. But not forever. We need a plan—fast.
A gust of wind rattles the window. Rain hammers the glass. Outside, distant screams echo down the corridor.
AYUSH (V.O.)Our escape had to be quick. The longer we stayed, the worse it got.
TANYA(voice cracking)There are at least a dozen of them out there…
DEV(whispering)Let's check the map. There's a service stairwell near the chemistry lab.It leads to the roof.
KARTIKGood. If we can get to the roof, we might find a way down—maybe a ladder or fire escape.
ANANYA(nods)But we can't go the way we came. The corridor's flooded with them.
AYESHA(points)There's a supply closet across the hall. We can grab bottles and jars—something to break. We need distractions.
SHIVAMI saw a gasoline container in the maintenance room near the teachers' lounge.Could light a small fire, draw them away.
LUCKY(shaking head)Fire in a school? That's… risky.
KARTIK(softly, to Lucky)Risky is staying here while they claw through the door. Let's move.
They exchange nervous glances. Ayush steps forward.
AYUSH(quiet command)Okay. We split into two teams.
Team A:Kartik, Ayush, Shivam, Dev go to the supply closet and gather breakable items—bottles, jars, anything glass.
Team B:Ananya, Ayesha, Lucky, Tanya, Bhargav head to the maintenance room for gasoline.
MANISH(confused)Where does Isha and Sanaa fit in?
KARTIKIsha, you stick with me—help fetch the bottles.Sanaa, you're with Ananya—carry the gasoline canister.
Everyone nods. The weight of their choices sinks in.
INT. SCIENCE LAB DOORWAY – CONTINUOUS
KARTIK steadies the barricade as Ayush eyes the hallway, listening.
A faint thud—zombie fists on metal shelves. Growls, groans.
KARTIK(whisper)Ready?
AYUSH(nods)Let's go.
They brace themselves, shove shelves aside just enough to slip through.
INT. CORRIDOR – NIGHT
Blackness and debris fill the hallway. Distant fluorescent lights flicker intermittently. The smell of stale air and something decaying is thick.
KARTIK(whisper)Stay low. Move fast.
They crouch and dash past classrooms with doors ripped off hinges. In one room, overturned desks and terrified students huddle in corners.
SHIVAM(urgently)We can't help them all. Keep moving.
They reach the supply closet door. Dev fumbles with the handle, eyes darting to the corridor.
A soft scrape. A zombie student—late teens—presses its face against the cracked door. Mouth stained red. Dead eyes.
DEV(voice shaking)Guys… we have company.
KARTIK(quiet determination)We distract. Ayush, you flank left. Shivam, right. Dev, toss a bottle. I'll grab as many as I can.
Ayush and Shivam pick up discarded lab stools, ready to push the zombie away. Dev snatches a glass beaker and hurls it down the corridor. It shatters against the wall, sending shards everywhere.
The zombie snaps toward the noise. It shambles off, moaning.
KARTIK(grabs crates of glass bottles)Hurry!
He stuffs three into a backpack. Dev grabs two. Ayush pockets one, and Shivam snatches another. They silently slip out the closet.
INT. SCIENCE LAB CORRIDOR INTERSECTION – CONTINUOUS
They reunite near a T-junction. The corridor to their right leads back to the auditorium; to the left, it dips toward the chemistry lab.
AYUSH(quietly)Left. Roof stairs are five rooms down.
KARTIK(placing hand on Ayush's shoulder)Stay focused. Keep moving.
They sprint left, passing broken lockers and overturned wheelchairs.
INT. MAINTENANCE ROOM HALLWAY – SAME TIME
Ananya, Ayesha, Lucky, Tanya, Bhargav, Sanaa creep down a parallel corridor toward the maintenance room. Echoes of distant screams reverberate off concrete walls.
ANANYA(quiet but intense)Keep your voices down. If they hear us, they'll swarm.
AYESHA(soft)We've got this. Just focus.
They slip inside the dimly lit maintenance room. The fluorescent light buzzes overhead.
TANYA(eyes wide)There—gasoline canisters, just like Shivam said.
SANA(careful)Grab them. But don't spill. One wrong spark…
BHARGAV(beaming with false bravado)I've got a lighter. I can set a small blaze—draw them away from the roof stairs.
LUCKY(whisper)Be smart. We need control, not chaos.
They each carry a canister. Bhargav stuffs his in a duffel bag; Ananya secures one over her shoulder; Sanaa holds it with both hands, knuckles white.
INT. CHEMISTRY LAB CORRIDOR – SIMULTANEOUS
Kartik's group edges toward the chemistry lab. A metal door stands ajar, fumes of chemicals leak out.
SHIVAM(quiet panic)Those fumes… we have to hold our breath.
They duck inside briefly: shelves of volatile liquids, beakers stained with colored residue.
AYUSH(pointing)Up the stairs is behind that door. Stay low, breathe shallow.
DEV(grabs three more glass jars)This is enough. Let's go.
They back out carefully, retracing their route to avoid fresh noise.
INT. CORRIDOR NEAR STAIRWELL – NIGHT
Kartik's team pushes open the door to the service stairs. Faint light seeps down from the roof hatch above.
KARTIK(quiet relief)We made it.
AYUSH(looking back)Where's Isha?
She emerges from a side door, dust-covered, carrying one last bottle.
ISHA(labored)Got it. Let's move before they find us.
They ascend the narrow stairwell. Each step echoes. Distant banging from the floor below.
INT. AUDITORIUM EXIT HALLWAY – SAME TIME
Ananya's group rejoins Kartik's team near a double door that leads into the auditorium.
ANANYA(urgent)We've got gasoline. Bhargav will set a small fire just down that hall. It'll draw them away from the stairs.
BHARGAV(nods, determined)I'll do it. Stay here.
He creeps off toward the side corridor, canister in hand.
LUCKY(to Ananya)This better work.
ANANYA(soft confidence)It will.
INT. SIDE CORRIDOR – SAME TIME
Bhargav props a canister against a pile of discarded papers and cloth. He flicks his lighter. Flames burst up. Smoke curls toward the ceiling.
Immediately, guttural growls and pounding footsteps echo deeper in the building.
INT. SERVICE STAIRWELL – CONTINUOUS
Up above, Ayush pulls the hatch open. Moonlight and rain spill in. He lifts off a metal grate covering the rooftop ladder.
AYUSH(quietly)Everyone, up.
They clamber out onto the roof, hearts pounding. Rain soaks them instantly.
EXT. SCHOOL ROOFTOP – NIGHT
The rooftop is slick with rain. Tiles glisten under the moon. The city skyline is distant, distorted by haze and streetlights.
Below, flickering flames from Bhargav's fire flicker in a window, a beacon drawing the infected away.
KARTIK(quiet)Good job. Now—down the ladder, quickly.
Below them, the ladder clatters under heavy rain. The ground looks far away—wet concrete and scattered debris.
SHIVAM(voice trembling)It's a long drop…
AYUSHWe jump. One at a time. Protect your head.
ANANYA(steady)Watch each other. I'm last.
One by one, they descend the ladder:
Shivam jumps first—lands hard, rolls. Grunts but stands.
Dev slips briefly but catches himself—miraculously unhurt.
Isha follows, arms locked around the rungs—feet hit pavement with a thud.
Lucky drops, lands on her feet, stumbles—tears glint in her eyes but she rights herself.
Tanya and Sanaa support each other—Sanaa's grip is white-knuckled.
Bhargav slides down last, the firelight behind him, face set but terrified.
Above, Kartik, Ayush, Ananya, and Ayesha remain.
KARTIKGo. Now.
They leap as one. Rain splashes around their feet. They hit the ground in a roll. Ayeesha gasps but pushes to her feet.
EXT. SCHOOL GROUNDS – NIGHT
They regroup beside a low boundary wall. Thunder rumbles overhead. Flamethrower-like glow of the fire flickers in a distant window.
They survey the courtyard—overturned benches, scattered textbooks, and no sign of other survivors.
LUCKY(voice shaking)Did everyone make it?
AYUSH(counting)Eleven. All eleven.
They share a collective breath, shoulders heaving.
SURAJ(crouched)We can't stay here.
KARTIKAgreed. The fire's drawing them deeper. We move toward the front gate—they won't expect that.
MANISHBut it's guarded by police barricades… last I saw, soldiers were pulling back.
AYESHA(pointing)There's a service exit behind the gym. It leads to the alley.
DEVThen that's it. We make for the alley. Quick and quiet.
EXT. SCHOOL PERIMETER FENCE – CONTINUOUS
They slip around the side of the building, past shattered windows and blood-spattered walls. Every so often, a moan echoes from within.
At the fence, Kartik finds a gap where the metal mesh is bent.
KARTIKThis is our way out. Everyone through. Fast.
One by one, they shimmy through the opening. Rain soaks through their clothes, mingling with adrenaline.
EXT. BACK ALLEY – NIGHT
Narrow alley between the school and a row of shops. Trash bins spill over. A thin trickle of water runs down a clogged drain.
They emerge, breathing the cold night air. No infected here—yet.
ANANYA(quiet relief)We're safe… for now.
AYUSH (V.O.)We stumbled into the darkness. No plan beyond this.Just eleven kids, soaked through, hearts pounding. We had escaped the school… but the world out there was waiting.
They begin to run toward the distant glow of streetlights, disappearing into the night as the echo of sirens rises behind them.
