After spending some time talking about pack business with my uncle, Jenna and I walked out front. I honestly had to remove myself from the hate fueled glares from my brother and cousin. I knew my Aunt and Uncle were trying hard to act neutral but they were having difficulty. Truthfully I get the disappointment they feel in me right now, eventually they'll see the bigger picture once my plans pan out. As we stepped in the front yard I looked around and saw Tristan still supporting Tess, while Damien was walking up to them. Watching Tristan's demeanor while talking to Damien I knew he was spilling the tea, telling him how horribly I treated Tess. I did her wrong on many levels I guess I'm going to deserve whatever this day throws at me.
" He fucking did what? I'm going to tear him limb from fucking limb!" I heard Damien yell. I watch as he walks towards me with purpose, he's so angry he looks like a bull in a china shop. When he reaches me we're standing face to face.
" You will reject her and never glance at her again!"Damien puffed as he glared at me. The anger rolling off of him pushing his Alpha aura towards me.
" I don't intend on rejecting her, she is my fated mate. Jenna will be Luna, but Tess will be my mate." I said to him not knowing where that idea came from, I guess I can't imagine life without Tess. I heard Jenna scoff at me with a bewildered look on her face. Damien grabbed hold of my collar pulling me closer to look in his face.
" You expect my sister to be your mistress, playing second fiddle to this weak she wolf? Tess is not side chick material, she is strong Alpha born meant to help her mate run a pack. Nobody will overshadow Tess, I don't give two fucks what you say pup!" Damien growled. Damn did he just call his Alpha a pup? He is like seven years older than me, but a pup really? I knocked his hands off my collar and straightened my stance.
" She is my mate and you have no say in this Damien. I refuse to reject what is mine, Tess loves me she'll come around and accept her place. Now if you'll excuse me I need to show your future Luna around her pack!" I stated boldly. That was all it took Damien punched me straight in the face, he kept punching me till I fell back. I heard yelling and knew people were trying to stop him, but I just laid there doing nothing. I knew I deserved this I didn't try to fight back. All I felt was regret, I've hurt the best thing I've ever had and I didn't know what to do.Finally they got him off me, I could feel a warmth spreading over my face. I opened my eyes to Tess, she was healing my wounds. Oh Goddess she's special in every way.
