"So, let me get this straight. Some creep texted you, knew you were staring at your phone, and then claimed to be your stalker?" Seraphina's voice rose with each word, drawing curious glances from nearby students in the university cafeteria.
I winced, motioning for her to keep it down. "He said he was joking about the stalker part."
"Yeah, because that makes it so much better," Sera rolled her eyes, stabbing her salad with unnecessary force.
"I think it sounds romantic," Debra chimed in, her eyes dreamy. "Like a secret admirer who's too shy to approach you."
Seraphina and I exchanged a look.
"Debs, there's nothing romantic about some anonymous weirdo watching Elara through her window," Sera said.
"We don't know that he was actually watching me," I pointed out, though I wasn't convinced myself. "It could've been a lucky guess."
"You blocked him, right?" Sera asked, eyeing me suspiciously.
