The nurse stepped forward, her eyes fixed on the monitoring equipment.
"Heart rate: 72 beats per minute, steady and within normal range."
"Blood pressure: 120/80, also stable."
"Oxygen saturation: 98%, excellent."
"Body temperature: 37.2°C, slightly elevated but within acceptable limits."
Viviana nodded, satisfied with the patient's vitals. She continued her work, her fingers moving with lightning speed and precision. The tumor was large and aggressive, but she remained calm and focused, her expertise guiding her every move.
As she carefully excised the final portion of the tumor, the operating room fell silent. Everyone held their breath, waiting for her final assessment.
Viviana's heart sank as she discovered the second tumor, hidden deep within the brain tissue. She knew this complication would make the surgery even more challenging and risky. But she refused to let it deter her. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for the task ahead.
"I've found a second tumor," she announced, her voice calm and steady despite the gravity of the discovery.
"It's smaller than the first, but it's located in a critical area near the language center."
Dean Chen's eyes widened, but he quickly composed himself. He knew the importance of remaining focused and supportive.
"What's the plan, Miss Lu?" he asked, his voice tinged with a mix of concern and admiration for her composure.
Viviana paused, considering her options carefully.
"Of course deal with it," Viviana said as if it was easy as breathing.
Viviana's confidence was unwavering, even in the face of this unexpected challenge. She carefully mapped out her approach, weighing each step with precision.
"I'll need to use a combination of laser ablation and microsurgical dissection to remove the second tumor," she explained, her voice clear and decisive.
"This will require extreme delicacy and accuracy to avoid damaging the surrounding brain tissue."
Dean Chen nodded, impressed by her calm and calculated response. He knew the procedure she described was incredibly complex and demanding.
"I'll assist you," he offered, his voice firm with resolve.
Together, they began the painstaking process of removing the second tumor. Viviana's hands moved with unparalleled finesse, her focus absolute. She navigated the delicate brain tissue with precision, carefully excising the tumor cell by cell.
The operating room was silent, the tension palpable as everyone watched Viviana work. Hours passed, but she remained steadfast, her determination unwavering.
Dean Chen's gentle touch on Viviana's forehead was a welcome relief, even through the sweatsoaked surgical cap. She paused briefly, her eyes flickering up to meet his gaze. In that moment, she saw a mix of admiration, concern, and exhaustion in his eyes. It was a reminder that she wasn't alone in this marathon of a surgery.
"Thank you," she murmured, her voice barely audible beneath her mask.
Dean Chen nodded, a faint smile in his tired eyes. He knew the toll this surgery was taking on her, both physically and mentally. But he also knew that she was the only one who could pull it off.
"Just a little longer."
This took more than eight hours.
After what felt like an eternity, Viviana finally removed the last fragment of the second tumor. She stepped back, her shoulders slumped with exhaustion, but her eyes bright with triumph. Dean Chen let out a sigh of relief, his own fatigue evident in his posture.
"It's done," Viviana said, her voice hoarse from hours of concentration.
The operating room erupted into applause, the tension finally breaking. Nurses and doctors alike clapped and cheered, amazed by the incredible feat they had just witnessed.
Dean Chen shook his head in disbelief, a grin spreading across his face.
"That was... incredible, Miss Lu," he said, his voice filled with admiration.
Viviana nodded weakly, her legs trembling slightly as she stepped away from the operating table. She had pushed herself to the limit, but the satisfaction of a job well done was immeasurable.
"Let's get the patient to recovery," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
As they wheeled Li Cho Wong out of the operating room, Viviana couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Outside
Dr. Mang saw extremely handsome man his aura was frightening.
"Third Master Li Yihan!" Dr. Mang said as she tried to look her best.
"How is my grandfather?" He asked coldly.
"The surgery was good and I worked hard," Dr. Mang said with a blush trying to take all the credit.
Yihan assistant Zion raised his eyebrow. In China, Japan, and some other countries these two are known to be fearsome while Li Yihan has the nickname god of death or or the hell emperor his assistant is known as the grim reaper.
"Well Dr. Mang I would like to…"
"Dr. Mang I didn't know you are so talented," A gentle yet menacing voice said. Yihan looked up and saw a 17 year old girl who looked tired.
"Mr. Li! This woman tried to kill your grandfather."
Viviana was speechless! This woman really is pissing her off to death!
Dr. Mang's face paled at Viviana's accusation, her eyes darting nervously between the exhausted girl and the intimidating Li Yihan. She knew she was in trouble, but she refused to back down.
"That's not true!" she insisted, her voice shrill and defensive.
"I was only trying to help. I didn't mean any harm."
Li Yihan's expression darkened, his eyes narrowing as he listened to the exchange. He turned his gaze to Viviana, studying her closely.
"And you are?" he asked, his tone polite but firm.
Viviana hesitated briefly, weighing her options. She knew revealing her true identity could have consequences, but she also couldn't let Dr. Mang's lies stand.
"I'm the one who actually saved your grandfather," she said, her voice steady and confident despite her exhaustion.
"Your father no longer has tumor in his heart or brain," Viviana said and Yihan eyes darken when they stared at Dr. Mang.
"I hate lairs," Yihan said they were cold as death and Zion stepped forward and took off his glasses and spoke up.
Viviana honestly didn't care in truth she just wants to go and eat some food and sleep for days.
"Miss my name is Zion Su and this is my third young master Li Yihan the man you saved his grandfather," Zion said. Viviana nodded her head.
"May I know your name?"
"Viviana Ling," Viviana said after all she hasn't changed her last name yet. Yihan nodded his head and he held out a cheek it was 100,000,000. Viviana eyes widen she smiled and put the check to her lips she did not know but she looked extremely adorable when she did this. Her fox like eyes showed seductive smile.
"No problem."
"Oh and Dr. Mang you are blacklisted," Yihan said.
