Vivi walked down the stairs as she yawned and saw her adoptive parents a month and half ago they found out that Vivian wasn't their biological daughter. Vivi blood type was Rnull also known as the golden blood type.
"Eat up your food that way you go back to your biological parents!" Xiao Song said and Vivi sat down she looked at the food for the past 17 years she has always been taking for herself Song and Tan never cared about her. The fact their biological daughter return not only does she have their surname Ling but she is also pampered. Vivi was not jealous nor did she care.
"Mom, dad, let sister enjoy dinner I heard that her biological family is super poor," Grace said with a smirk. Vivi eat her food she did not bother with any of these annoying people.
"Viviana remember that you don't belong! You will not use the last name Ling do you understand me?"
"Yes mother don't worry I am too lazy," she said. Song was so angry Tan touched his wife hand.
"Here is a check 100,000 this would do your poor family some time."
Vivi leaned against her chair and took a sip of her apple juice.
"No need," she said.
"You!"
Vivi crossed her arms.
"Sister don't be angry I know that you…"
"Grace is I sew your mouth shut would it mean you are a mute dog?" Vivi asked and Grace clenched her jaw.
"Mom, dad don't be angry sister is just jealous," Grace said and Vivi felt amused this girl came to the Ling Family Clan and she has already made a name for herself and is being pampered like a crazy. Yet why must keep bringing up her family being poor so annoying.
"Woof, woof!"
"Ah Tun Tun want to eat?" Vivi asked as she ignored Grace.
"Mom dad! Vivi will always be my sister!" Zing said as he looked at Vivi who reached over to Zing who is the same age as her since young both of them believed they were twins until a month and half ago but still in her heart Zing is her brother he was the only one who treated her with kindness.
Grace was so jealous Zing is her twin brother not this bitch of Vivi!
"Zing don't say that Grace is your twin sister."
Zing sneered and moved closer to his sister Vivi and hugged her.
"Sis do you love me anymore?" Zing whined like a small child.
Vivi smiled softly and hugged Zing back, resting her chin on top of his head. She closed her eyes, savoring the familiar warmth and comfort of her brother's embrace. Even after everything that had happened, Zing's affection remained constant and genuine, a rare beacon of love in her tumultuous life.
"Of course I do, you silly boy," she murmured, her voice gentle and affectionate.
"You're my brother, and nothing will ever change that. Not even stupid DNA tests or jealous siblings. We might not he related by blood but my heart you are my twin brother got it?"
She felt Zing's arms tighten around her waist, and she returned the squeeze, offering silent reassurance. When he pulled back, she ruffled his hair playfully, a small smile tugging at her lips.
"But hey, if you keep whining like that, I might just start calling you 'Little Tun Tun' instead," she teased, referring to her pet dog's name. Her golden eyes sparkled with mischief, the tension in the room momentarily forgotten.
"Sister I am worried what if um your family isn't good?" Zing asked. Vivi put food at her brother plate and she smiled.
"No need to worry I can handle myself," Vivi said as she sighed and started eating her food once more.
"Zing! Grace is your sister not this fake!" Song snapped at her son who rolled his eyes.
Vivi's eyes narrowed slightly at Song's outburst, her jaw tightening imperceptibly. She continued eating calmly, but there was a new edge to her movements. When she spoke, her voice was deceptively soft, yet carried an underlying current of steel.
"Father, I suggest you choose your words more carefully," she said, not bothering to look up from her plate.
"Zing is old enough to decide who he considers family. And as for me being 'fake'..." She paused, setting her chopsticks down with deliberate precision.
"I may not share your blood, but I've been a part of this family for 17 years. I've earned my place here, whether you like it or not."
She finally lifted her gaze, her golden eyes locking onto Song's. There was a challenge in their depths, a silent dare for him to contradict her. Beside her, Zing sat up straighter, his earlier worry replaced by a fierce protectiveness.
"Sister is right! She's been here longer than Grace!"
Grace put on a fake smile.
"Brother Zing but I am your sister here eat some food," Grace said as she put food on Zing plate who threw it on the ground.
"Sorry I only eat what my sister puts on my plate," Zing said and huffed out his chest. Vivi chuckled and poked on a potato.
"Grace I would warn you about rich folks one must always be careful what they wish for, anyway I am tired I am going to take a nap," Vivi said as she picked up Tun Tun and Zing also stood up.
"Zing you sit back down!" Song snapped.
"Zing listen to mom," Vivi said. Zing sighed he felt bad for his sister he sat back down and ignored Grace.
Vivi nodded approvingly at Zing, a small, grateful smile playing on her lips. She turned to leave, her oversized sweater slipping off one shoulder, revealing a glimpse of her delicate collarbone. As she walked away, the soft fabric of her leggings hugged her curves, accentuating her graceful stride.
"Sleep well, Zing," she called over her shoulder, her voice a gentle murmur.
"And remember, no matter what happens, you're my brother. Always."
With that, she disappeared upstairs, Tun Tun tucked securely in her arms. The dog's soft whines echoed through the hallway as they retreated to the sanctuary of her room.
Meanwhile, the tension at the dinner table remained palpable. Song's face was flushed with anger, his grip tightening around his chopsticks. Tan sat silently beside him, her eyes downcast. Grace, on the other hand, wore a smug smile, clearly pleased with the chaos she had stirred.
"Grace don't be so proud," Zing said with a smirk he has the same temper as Vivi since Vivi pretty much raised him up and taught him what he knows he understands Vivi temper better than anyone else.
