Everything was going 'great' in Vira's eyes… but how can I tell her before it's too late? It's already too late, her story and his brother's are already written, I can't change it…
The story must keep going….
As the queen holds the young baby, the king sits down next to the queen and Vira stands next to 'mother'. Vira jumps in joy, butterflies in her stomach, her heart flipping out, she begs her 'parents' if she can be the one to make a name for her younger brother, " 'Mother' can i please make a name for my baby brother?" the queen chuckles softly and the king nods, Vira jumps in the air in joy and she stand there thinking of a name, after a minute she finally found a name for her baby brother, the 'parents' must be amused seeing her trying to find a name for her brother. Vira speaks up, proud and excited "We can call him.. Vireo? Yea! Vireo!" the 'parents' laugh together and nod in agreement, the king says "Sure darling, we can call him that, it also matches your name!" Vira giggled and then she nodded "of course i did! I was trying to find a name matching mine!"
Then they lived happily ever….
I'm just kidding, I was just messing with you. Fine i'll get back to the story, jeez… tough crowd…
I'll get back to the story… now this just feels a bit awkward…. A-ANYWAYS!
Vira jumps to her bed and she looks at her father, expecting the daily bedtime stories, but.. He simply just says "Good night, kid" Vira came a bit flabbergasted but her mouth instinctively said "G-goodnight i guess?" but in her head she wondered "Why did my mouth say that? I should've asked why he wouldn't hand me a bedtime story." I feel like you think she's complaining and she isn't aware there's a new born baby who needs attention? I mean Vira's only a kid still… don't be rude to dear Vira…
The next day, Vira wakes up, her hair disheveled and messy, she silently groan to sit up, she climbs off her bed, she expected her family to be outside greeting her but no, she's been ignored and the only focus is the baby, her younger brother Vireo is getting so much more attention then herself… She sees her mother making milk and then Vira taps her on the back, she becomes curious and innocently asks " 'mother'? Why didn't you make breakfast today?" Her mother ignored her and cold yet harsh tone "Go and make your own breakfast, leave 'mother' alone" Vira? How did she feel about that? She became stubborn and asked again to her mother, " 'Mother, why didn't you make breakfast?" oh… oh that isn't good, Vira should never say that..
Her 'mother' clenches her jaw she turns to Vira and she slaps her across the face so hard it makes Vira fall down and spit out blood, Vira slowly looks up to her 'mother' with teary eyes and soft mumbles " 'Mother'?..." but Vira says something she should never see from a 'mother', her 'mother's' eyes… she looked too… weird, too angry but Vira was too scared to notice that; she heard a saying "Eyes never lie" but… Vira can't seem to notice her own 'mother's' eyes, blurred because of fear.. What is happening now? Why is this happening? Right after Vira's birthday? How horrible…
The queen demanded her with the same harsh and cold tone "stand up, NOW!" Vira stood up immediately, she stood there, stiff, her vision blurred, it made her see the world.. In colours and feeling disoriented, but she tries, she tries her very best to make her focused. Her 'mother' sees it "Dear, you should try and become useful, you won't end up being like this, useless, a brat, etc, etc!" Her voice changed… drastically, into a sweet sing-song voice "Dearest dear, would you mind making milk for your baby brother?" Vira nodded but her body did, not her mind, she didn't want to do it because she doesn't know how, but she does it anyway, to try and make her 'mother' proud.
