Days grew by, the walls that Vira use to live in, the walls full of life and warmth now only is filled with commanding whispers, Vira was no longer the sunshine the kingdom use to know, she stayed quiet she soon stayed emotionless and did everything correctly when her 'mother' said so, she's 12 years old now, the 'mother' takes 'care' of her own rose to bloom beautiful yet sharp thorns. "Dear Vira, don't you like the

Vira looks at her 'mother' and she nods and replies with a monotone voice "Yes, you're right, a rose with thorns… It shows a lot of meaningful meanings, truly inspiring" the queen chuckled "of course i'm right my dear! Now how about you check onto your brother? Is he drinking his pills well? And same as you my dear?" Vira nods "Of course 'mother', we care about our health, we won't doubt you, ever, 'mother'." The queen chuckled in amusement "Go ahead dearly, see how your own brother is doing." Vira nods "Yes 'mother'." she said before walking away, she walks to her brother's room, she can hear… clapping noises, the noise of a bed creaking, but she ignores it and let 'father' do his stuff, she took 5 deep breaths before knocking on the door 3 times, she spoke and acted like her 'father' wasn't there, "May i come in, Vireo? Did you take your pills?" Through the door, her 'father' spoke up "He took his pills honey, you can tell 'mother' that and remember, don't tell~" she flinches for a second when she can hear he continues…. She stuttered "A-alright fa- i mean Vireo! I'll tell 'mother' now!" She walks away feeling the guilt in her heart.

Vira turned around and kept walking, she faced the floor in shame and guilt. As Vira kept walking and walking she can't put her mind right, she's suffering isn't she? Her own 'mother's' words haunt her "Dear, Vira, don't you like the roses with thorns? Shows how beauty can turn into pain too... How inspiring isn't it?" Vira bumps into her own 'mother' she stood stiff "I-I'm so sorry 'mother'! Sorry for bumping into you..." the queen chuckles "No, it's alright my dear, now, how's your brother? Still in his room?" Vira tried changing the subject "Well he's taking his pills and how are your roses are? How are they able to grow thorns? Which one grows first? The thorns or is it the Roses? Can you teach me how to grow one?" the queen 'smiled'... pfft- as if she did smile... Vira knows what a fake smile is and a real one, she finally understand that her own 'mother' has been using a fake smile, not even a second she would use a real one. "How about you to the library? Grab 'Mother's' book I use when to learn how to grow roses! I just need to check on something..." the queen's voice is.. different, still the same fake sweet tone but a hint of suspicion, Vira's head clicked "She's on us!" Vira's eyes widen slightly, her 'mother' sees it, she's a goner soon... her family will break and Vira doesn't want that.. "I uh... I just need to go ahead and up knock on Vireo's door to say that you, 'mother' are going to check up on him!" She walks fast, she feels her 'mother's' eyes on her, even if she's far away down in the hallway, she knocks on the door 3 times, she yells "Vireo? Mother is going to check up on you are!" The 'father' stops and he dresses up, Vira whispers to her 'father' while her 'father' on the other side is listening carefully, Vira speaks quiet but still loud enough for her own 'father' to listen "You can come out 'father'. She really can't see us, unless you're wearing bright colours... you can come out..." Her 'father' smiled in joy and purred "Thank you deary~ I already have a lovely present for you, you don't need to drink your pills today, just try and stay quiet, hope something out of the blue won't happen when i show you how to... play with your toy~" her 'father' giggling but for Vira? She's standing there, eyes shaking and taking a second to realise what her 'father' is saying, she realises... it makes her feel sick in the stomach, she wants to puke, she wants to tell 'mother' even though her own 'mother' was the reason why her heart is now like glass, easy to break but easy to patch it up again, Vira's stomach feels worse, she needs to puke out something but she can't but a question runs to her mind "But what and why am l wanting to puke out.. something..? But the thing is, what is the 'something' I need to puke?".
Her 'father' walks out and closes the door silently before walking away and then Vira takes a minute, she takes deep breaths 5 times again, but it won't ease her guilty and shameful heart. She walks down the hallway again to her 'mother', the queen narrowed her eyes slightly, she spoke as if she's... suspicious and yet still sweet, but it makes Vira feel unsettled... "So dear, does 'Vireo' know 'mother' is coming to his room?" Vira nods, she changes the subject, trying to get her to pry herself out of this... "I'll be grabbing the book you asked for 'mother'." the queen nods "Go ahead dear~" Vira walks away, she heads downstairs, she sighs. She mumbles "Why?... Why should this happen to me and Vireo? What happened to my parents?..."
