The inspectors even though respected Moran they did not expect him to actually work.They accepted his role as the lazy genius who will move the cse further as they researched and give him the riddle to solve. He has been working for five minutes straight.
The five minutes spiked up to fifteen minutes and Sebastian, now curious as to what exactly he was working on, turned towards the direction of his desk only to discover he was not there. His eyes inspected the room and finally came to rest when Moran in front of the printer came into sight.
Sebastian "What exactly are you working on?"
"I found the groundbreaking data that will just solve the case only if taken seriously that is."
All eyes on Moran.
"I did nothing much. I looked at the top influencers after the death of the first three. Then I looked into those who have fluctuations in their viewership. Then I emailed every single one of them saying 'do you wish to continue our relationship now that we have made you the top influencer?' almost all replied immediately in the affirmative. Not surprising but they seem to respond to that sender immediately."
Everyone's jaw dropped 20 feet below the ground.
"Now I do not have to explain why the ones responding are the future victims of this case do I? Oh, some are still responding."
Sebastian: "It is not that it is the fact that we do not comprehend your discovery but we don't comprehend how you managed to do it in only fifteen minutes."
Aiko: "Will you explain your methods?"
"It will be a lot of trouble so no."
If we rub this discovery on the face of the chief then he will be fazed but for now it is best to keep quiet.
The one staring at him the most weirdly was Sebastian.
"If you have something to say then say so."
Sebastian: "Did you know if you helped us in our data collection we could have compiled everything in like one or two days. If you have that many brain cells then invest some too!"
Dorion: "Honestly help us out if you are such a genius."
Albert: "Get back to work you two."
"Albert and Dorion give me your attention for a moment."
Dorion: "Are you gonna direct us with your wisdom?"
"The next victim is the one having the largest following among the list of influencers having fluctuation in their viewership as that was the order in which the last three victims died.I want one of you to accompany me to the next victim's hometown after I locate it, that is. All of us cannot go as all members of the faction taking vacation all at the same time is not possible. And I also need someone to provide me with data whenever I ask so one has to stay here"
He glanced at Aiko when he said the last statement.
Albert: "If we are going to investigate then it is not a vacation but part of our job. It will be like a business trip so we do not have to take a vacation. True that one has to stay here to provide data, but, still why can only one accompany you?"
Sebastian: "The chief does not want us to work on the theory we are now working on. If all of us take vacation the chief will be suspicious and may cancel our approval of vacation. But with only two of us we may make it look like a coincidence by one starting their one day prior than the other."
Albert: "Well I didn't think about that."
Dorion: "So detective who will accompany you and when?"
"Who I will decide later but I am planning to reach that somewhere on 13th."
Dorion: "Why not immediately(after determining the location.)"
"Something will happen on the 14th so going a day before is the best. It will prevent the perpetrator from being wary that way."
Aiko: "Won't one day before too? And how will they know of our visit?"
Explaining everything is so tiring.
"The first thing to do after reaching that place will be to obtain a stay closest to the victim. Moreover, keep an eye on her. Now the killer will be looking her up too, waiting for her to let her guard down,setting his trap. If we both do the same thing they will notice us and wether kill before we expect and we might lose them or not strike at all and go into hiding. However, one day before, an hour before midnight, we will check out the victim. By then all the traps have been set by the killer and he will be confident that nothing will prevent their crime from happening now. They most likely do not realize that we are investigating as we are expected to a few days before the murder to sniff out the killer and prevent it. No one will guess that we are investigating them then."
Aiko: "I get it now."

Their today's work was finished and they were wrapping up.
Aiko: "Oh and detective, I will give you the report tomorrow. I am just doing some finishing."
"All right."
As they stepped outside their office, chatting, someone calls Moran from behind. He turned around to discover that it was the chief.
Chief: "I thought I told you to not work on that theory you explained that day, Detective Moran."
"We are not, actually."
Moran glances at Sebastian and he shrugs as to say that he did not include in the report abou working on that theory.
Sebastian: "Yes, we are looking from all angles in this case."
Chief: "All right. And if I did catch any glimpse of that theory in your daily report then fraction 1 will be dismissed from this case and granted a new case to work on."
