(Rayna's POV)
The smell of coffee hit me before my brain could finish rebooting.
He handed me a cup like it was the most casual thing in the world.
"Milk, one sugar. That's how you took it last night," he said smoothly.
Oh god. He remembered my coffee order. What else did he remember?
"I...uh... I don't usually do this," I mumbled, tugging the sheet higher over my chest even though he wasn't looking anywhere inappropriate. Which somehow made it worse.
He chuckled, low and deep. "Clearly. You cried during a documentary about penguins."
I wanted to melt into the floor.
I sipped the coffee to avoid replying. It was perfect. Of course.
Then his phone buzzed. He picked it up, face unreadable, and said, "Duty calls. But don't worry, I'll have a car sent for you in 30 minutes."
"Wait—what's your name?"
He paused at the door, lips curling into a smirk.
"Aaryan."
And then he was gone.
Leaving me with a great cup of coffee… and a head full of questions.
