Chapter 3 - 3. No Cheat Power? Guess I’ll Film Cringe Rural Videos in the Japanese Countryside.

In the rural heart of Saitama Prefecture—the root cause of many sleepless girls across Japan—Miyauchi Hinata felt absolutely nothing.

He was quietly waiting for the reward he was supposed to receive after completing his diary for the first time.

"Sixteen years living in this world, and my cheat finally arrives? If it'd taken a few more years, I might've already hit financial freedom and started slacking off," Hinata muttered.

His previous life had been pretty messy. His parents divorced when he was a kid, and nobody really took care of him. In school, he was practically invisible. After graduation, he landed a brutal 996 job, and with two hours of commuting every day, he barely had time to call his own.

He died young of a terminal illness. He had originally wanted to do something cool before he passed—travel across Japan with the money he'd saved, documenting his final journey. But just as he started the trip, he got hit by a car and was isekai'd to this world.

In this life, he had been reborn as the only son in the Miyauchi family from the healing slice-of-life anime Non Non Biyori, born as the twin sibling of Miyauchi Hikage and the older brother of Miyauchi Renge.

Thankfully, his existence hadn't interfered with Renge's birth. After all, losing such a clever, sweet, and adorable little sister would've been something to regret for a lifetime.

At first, Hinata thought he'd just been reincarnated into a single anime world. That changed when he saw a news broadcast on TV featuring both Gan'an Shinomiya, the chairman of the Shinomiya conglomerate, and Suzuki Shiro, chairman of the Suzuki group, appearing together at a charity event. That's when he realized he was in a multiverse anime crossover world.

To be honest, even though he didn't have any big ambitions in this second life, there was still a spark of excitement in his heart.

All those girls from anime actually existed here. And he was the one person in this world who knew their true personalities and futures best.

But born into a family with three daughters, Hinata—being the only male—had his hands full: managing his lazy eldest sister, tutoring his airheaded second sister, and helping take care of Renge, who was eight years younger. He hadn't dated anyone in either life, and now he was basically skipping ahead and getting full-on "dad experience."

Living in this kind of household made him pretty immune to female charm. Compared to his past life, he wasn't the type to fall in love at first sight with a girl just because she was an anime heroine.

Even the usual teenage urges were rationally suppressed by his years of "dad mode" with his little sister: "Romance? I don't even have a small goal achieved yet—what kind of idiot gets into a relationship like that?"

He'd been blessed with a second chance at life. Was his purpose just to use his meta knowledge to snipe anime heroines, sleep with them, and then end up stabbed by some yandere girl? No thanks.

With a loving family, a house, and a cute little sister, Miyauchi Hinata had zero interest in being a playboy. He needed to set a good example for his sister.

So, like any proper young man, he set out to build his career. First step: raise his adorable sister into a little princess, and only then think about his personal life. So, just as he entered middle school, Hinata took up the mantle of "revitalizing the local economy" and got to work.

Using knowledge from his previous life, he grabbed a camcorder, rounded up a few idle local youths, and began shooting rural videos.

Country bullies, "Village Edison" inventors, wild survival challenges—plus all those low-effort clickbait "cringe" videos. Every video was uploaded in Japanese, English, and Chinese on multiple platforms. One video, multiple revenue streams.

After three years, regardless of whether his reputation was good or bad, at least Asahigaoka had made a name for itself.

Fruit and veggie products branded "Asahigaoka Produce" were flying off the shelves. Holiday tourism numbers surged. Even international tourists started showing up. High-ranking officials from Japan's powerful JA (Agricultural Cooperative) came to discuss collaborations and study his methods.

As for Hinata himself? He'd earned more than a regular salaryman could make in a lifetime, gained serious fame, and built a vast personal network across Japan. If he ever wanted to go into politics, that network and reputation would be priceless.

But for now, politics wasn't on his radar.

What he wanted was to multiply his current assets several times over during his three years in high school, maybe meet the right girl, fall in love, and get married right after graduation. His ultimate dream? Achieve financial freedom and return home to raise his sister and make babies with his wife.

It was just when he was plotting how to approach artists like Eriri and Mashiro Shiina (who was still in the UK) to draw manga for him… that the long-overdue cheat item finally appeared—the diary.

The very second he saw it, his meticulously crafted high school business plan went straight out the window.

"I've got a cheat now. Who needs spreadsheets and projections? I'll just lie back and rake in cash!"

But Hinata had read diary-style light novels before. He immediately realized—whatever he wrote inside would probably be seen by others.

He shuddered at the thought of those idiotic protagonists writing things like, "xxx is my waifu, she's so cute," with zero shame.

He didn't want to die of second-hand embarrassment. Nor did he want to expose himself to any girl who might also be reading the diary.

This world looked normal on the surface, and he hadn't run into anything paranormal so far.

But this place was a chaotic fusion of countless fictional works. Who knew what kind of freaky stuff was hiding out there?

Forget the supernatural for a second—Conan's world alone was already terrifying: ridiculous power levels, Agasa Hakase's sci-fi gadgets, the age-reversing APTX4869, and that massive, murky Black Organization full of undercover agents.

Then there's Kaitou Kid, who shares a universe with Conan. In his manga, witches and magic gems that grant immortality exist.

And what if Hoshino Ai is already pregnant? That might mean she's going to give birth to two reincarnated children.

"Then there's Fuyuki City and Morioh Town… sure, they seem peaceful now, but even the names are terrifying."

On March 21st, 2012—the date the JoJo Part 6 protagonist team gets wiped out—Hinata wore sunglasses and stared at the sun the whole day, terrified that it might start spinning faster and suck him into a new timeline.

Fortunately, nothing happened. He sighed in relief.

"Anyway, I've got to keep my identity hidden until I gain enough power to protect myself. I don't want to get kidnapped by some yandere heroine or hunted down by shady organizations."

With a sharper brain and better memory than his last life, Hinata had already planned contingencies. If he ever had to interact too closely with another diary holder, he'd just write himself into the diary as a minor side character.

"For now, let's see if Hoshino Ai reacts to my diary entry."

After all, as a teenage boy, it wasn't suspicious for him to follow a popular idol. He'd even joined her fan club with an alt account. Even if he showed up at one of her concerts, nobody would bat an eye.

And just then, a message echoed in his mind:

[You've completed your first diary entry. You've earned the right to draw a beginner reward.]

[Drawing reward…]

[Congratulations! You've obtained: Pure Yang Body (from Genshin Impact)]

[Reward granted. Please continue the good habit of writing your diary daily.]
