"You can take care of Addy," said Mia, causing Levi to snap out of his haze, in which he had fallen without knowing. When he realised that he was looking at Mia without breaking his gaze even for a second, Levi's face turned red and he choked on his own breath because of the awkwardness.
Frowning, Mia turned to look at the man who was coughing a fit behind her. She questioned in a soft voice, "Are you alright?" Her voice was filled with concern, which only made Levi even more embarrassed. He raised his hand and nodded while covering his mouth with his other hand.
He replied, "I am fine."
Hearing his response, Mia didn't say anything. She simply nodded and continued to scoop the dog food and then poured it inside the many dishes that were in front of the little pups, injured, paralysed and old dogs.
