"I'm coming back home today," Kaelith's last words filtered through Jaden's head, and he couldn't help but cover his ears with his hands in frustration.
He had just gotten to his third lecture when Kaelith called him, and immediately, he rushed back home. Jaden opened the door to the room, his hands shaky, and as he entered, he dropped his bag on the bed. His mind was in distress.
"What will I tell him when he gets here?" he pondered as he sat down on his bed, his legs tapping nervously on the tiled floor.
Suddenly, he stood up, his eyes darting around, his hands fidgeting with his clothes. "Kaelith, I—"
He hadn't finished his words when the door sprang open. Jaden turned his eyes to the entrance, and Kaelith was standing there, his gaze fixed on him.
"Are you okay?" Kaelith asked, stepping inside. His eyes scanned the room as he made his way to his bed. He dropped his bag on the floor and sighed heavily as he sat down.
