[ AZA; Dragon kingdom capital ]
{ DERRICK'S P.O.V }
In a big gold room a figure laid on a king sized bed. It is dark, a woman pushed the floor to ceiling doors open. She walks over to the floor length windows which were tightly closed and drew the curtains open letting light into the room.
The figure on the bed furrows his brow as the light hit his eyes, ohh! he winced softly. ''Rise and shine my little starlight'' Queen silviana said to her son derrick who lay on a bed way on the other side of the extravagant gold room.
I slowly opened my eyes using my hands to block the reflection of light in my eye, ''mother why am i being woken up so early?'' I asked.
''Dear have you forgotten what today is?'' she asked coming to my bedside.
''Yes mother i think i might have, please remind me''
''Dear today is the ceremony of the sun gathering with dragon elders'', ''the king's and queen's of the alliance will be there- how could you forget this?''
'' Grah!!'' I growled already exhausted.
''Oh come on darling don't be like that, your going to prove to the nine realms that you are the son of light and prince of dragons''. ''You'll meet princes and princesses your age- and maybe find your mate''. She said that last part excitedly.
''But I don't want to'' I whined.
''Dear this will be good for you please come-for me'', will my little star come for mummy?'' mum said staring into my starry green eyes [ it was the reason she named him starlight because they looked like a sea of twinkling green stars ].
''Fine I'll come'' I said giving into my mothers heartbroken expression, I couldn't leave her like that so I caved in.
''Good now that's the spirit'' she said ruffling my neck length blondish brown hair that now fell into my eyes. ''I'll leave you to get ready now'' She said standing up and walked out.
I got up and checked the time, two hours before guests start arriving, After taking a shower I was surprised to see young maidens in my room with different sets of clothes in gold boxes. ''My prince'' they all said bowing ''Her highness the queen sent these to you''
I nodded and they dropped the boxes on my bed, I opened one and I'm telling you I shouldn't have been surprised, a green outfit stitched with gold strings embroidered with jades, rubies and diamonds, I decided to just go with it because I did not have the time to look through them.
''Good morning young prince'' the royal family's head of castle [butler] said with a bow, guests had already arrived. The kings of the alliance sat together and I could see guardians of the alliance.
I descended the grand gold stairs leading to the ballroom.
''Oh there you are darling'' Mum said coming my way, she looked stunning like the diamond she was, wearing a dazzling golden ball gown having a golden and green cape that fell to the floor just like my father's king saga.
She flashed me a bright smile saying, ''Dear I almost taught you wouldn't come'' while roughing my hair.
Mum please—
''Fine I'll stop but only because you came and plus that outfit looks amazing on you it matches your eyes, I'll be over there if you need me''.
Once mum left I was lost at the center of it all then someone called me, ''Young prince please come with me'' he said with a bow, Evan the king's guardian looked as serious as always, I nodded in response.
''Sire his highness the prince'' Evan announced my arrival to my father; he turned to me the domineering gaze that said intense seriousness that made me shiver. He was only like this in important gatherings; you'd never believe he was arguing about how long his hair was with my mother.
''Oh so this is the young prince'' a voice crocked. Next to my father stood an old man with long white beard that reached his waist, his white hair packed in a round bun added a marvelous elegance to him and his old tired and sagging eyes shone with excitement.
He stretched his hands to touch my face but then father cut in, ''Derrick go over there and associate with them''.
''Yes fa- I mean your highness'' I answered before leaving.
These kids, the air around them was different, it wasn't like that of a normal dragon it felt—weaker, and judging by their attires made with silk and shone of affluence they were likely royalty. I wanted to go back to his chambers feeling bored, I disliked things like this.
''Hi there'' a feminine voice broke my line of taught; I shifted my gaze only to meet the bright smile of the girl in front of me.
'' I'm veronica princess of dangels it's a pleasure to meet you''. Even a blind man would see through her she liked him and it wasn't a surprise no female could resist such a handsome face, at such a young age and already looking godly he could easily swoon anyone male or female.
I nodded my head slightly totally oblivious to the pink on her cheeks that was obviously getting brighter.
Meanwhile ---
''King saga'' Tyson called walking up to him; ''I must say you are really blessed'', 'all this' [using his hands to demonstrate] ''it's really something''.
King saga stared at Tyson icily like an insect in his line of sight. Silviana saga's wife walked up to them her dragon survival instincts kicked in, she needed to stay close to saga making sure he wouldn't skin someone alive.
''Your son, the son of light it's rather suspicious don't you think?'' He asked.
Silence—no one responded
It could be said Tyson deeply disliked the dragons and so did his people the dangels because they envied their wealth – and having the power to make gold out of their finger tips [golden dragons] specifically the rulers of all dragons like saga while others possessed equally enviable powers.
DRAGON BREED'S, ABILITIES AND POWER RANKS.
Golden dragon: breed of royal blood dragons, possessing powers almost equal to gods, can spit out gold lava, can control all magic in the nine realms. They could breath out toxic venom, extremely wise and knowledgeable, talk to gods and summon them, in dragon form they were the third largest in the kingdom and very few only about twelve in the 2nd realm.
As for their rank on the scale, they were NO. 2 on the list of powerful dragons although they were considered NO 1 that was before the prophecy, anyone who was the goddess's direct son had to be the all powerful.
Fire dragons: breed of strong soldiers, they possessed fire breathing powers of the strongest kind raging red fire, and had no magical abilities but possessed a sonic magnetic wave that could render their opponent deaf. They were the best for battle or war seeing they were the strongest and largest, their adults reaching the clouds.
Ranking NO.2 they were irreplaceable. With a total count of one hundred and twenty in the kingdom, but the strongest and largest fire dragon was Evan the king's guardian.
Rogue dragons: the solitary breed, possessing abilities of shape shifting, magic powers, they were extremely crafty, with the power of illusions they were the sixth on the rank and were few in numbers of about forty, they were also medium in dragon size about half the size of fire dragons.
Quadra dragon: the four headed dragon breed, they were known for their unbelievable speed running as fast or even faster than vampires, they could only breathe out fire from two heads while the other two head breath flammable gas causing a catastrophic explosion as deadly as a modern day nuclear bomb, and although they did not have any magical abilities their other abilities made them a formidable foe to their opponents. They ranked no. 3 on the list of powerful dragons and were the second largest breeds in the dragon kingdom. They were also four as humans and the strongest of all Quadra's were the king's head of military defence also could be recognised as the king's best men and friends.
Death Devil Dragon: a hybrid of dragon and demon and a new breed of truly ominous dragons, they could raise an army of the undead or skeletons and could control the bodies of other people, they had the power of hypnosis and could take away the five senses, taking souls, in dragon form the ends of their tails curled like that of a scorpion storing enough deadly venom to kill at first strike. Being a new breed there was only one in the whole kingdom and it could have more abilities as it grows since these were only discovered when it had his fits as a baby, now seven more abilities could appear. As a child its full strength was unknown and through what had already been displayed it could be compared with a Quadra.
Eva dragons: the healer breed of dragons, they were the true magic users and could heal with earth powers. There were only three left in the kingdom ranking 12th in strength and power
Elemental dragons; breed that controlled all elements, could summon elemental gods, control weather, could bend the six elements. They were very powerful and very rare- one would need to be half witch half dragon to be one. Ranked seventh and currently none found yet. They although rarely had dragon forms they were considered as dragons.
Silver dragons: silver coloured dragons, they could see the future, and were great magic users also very valuable but none had been seen for a long time. They ranked NO 6.
Hydro dragons: the water breed, they had abilities to control and bend the ocean. Ranked no. 13 on the list. There about ninety of them in the kingdom.
Tiara dragons: the three headed dragon, possessing all abilities of the Quadra's plus had the magic ability and could talk to the dead. And ranked NO 5 on the list. They were extremely useful in battle. They were also the 5th largest dragon in the kingdom.
Arial dragon: the knowledgeable dragon, they could read minds, go invisible, as well as the ability to remove one of their six senses. They were extremely fierce and dauntless ranking NO 4 on the list; the queen was a strong Arial dragon and was the 7th largest dragon in the kingdom. There were only about twenty of them left.
Other dragons like coalboalt, Leo, viper lithe and dynamite dark dragons filled the kingdom with about a hundred different breeds.
Back to event------
''But I must say your son suddenly happens to be the son of light sounds rather ---- not right!'' Tyson said calmly, ''Imean the dragon clan has everything in this alliance why should the mother goddess who's disappeared suddenly come back just to bless the all powerful king saga?!''
There were sudden whispers around and unknowingly Tyson was really testing saga's patience at the time.
''What the heck is Tyson that moron doing'' Zyan said watching from the table the kings sat.
A smile crept up the corners of Alex king of vampires face.
''Why are you smiling?'' Aaron king of beasts asked Alex knowing only bad things amused the king of darkness.
Alex elegantly turned the wine glass in his hands, ''watch'' he said before taking a sip.
The next second Tyson flew to the other side of the room hitting a tower of gold wine glasses and straight through the gold walls of the castle.
''That's why I'm smiling—finally some entertainment'' Alex said with a relaxed tone and a sly smile that made Lucian king of witches wonder if he had attended this event specifically for this scene.
Saga had just punched Tyson to the other side of the room, Evan his guardian and his best men the Quadra's walked to his side to protect him but from the look of things if Tyson wasn't dead it'll be a miracle.
''Wowa punch from the all mighty 'GOD OF WAR' if Tyson survives it then he's finally done something in life'', Aryan king of lancan's mused.
''I wonder how that felt'', Lucian commented.
''This event is over'' Saga's cold domineering voice rang out suddenly before he turned and left. Guests started leaving and as for Tyson his head hit the gold wall pretty hard and he was knocked unconscious and was bleeding so he was rushed to a mage.
