Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: A Bit Of Training

"I didn't think that you could afford something so grand like this." Diana commented as the two made their way down the road with Clara's car.

A means of transportation she was willing to give him and get Diana put of the hospital ward that she was in. However the farther they went away from the hospital, the less familiar things started to get for Diana.

She hadn't been on this side of the city. Unlike where she had grown up at the southern part, they were driving deep into the eastern part of the city. It was more complex and grand at a moments glance but it was nothing in comparison to the other sides of it all.

After driving for a couple of hours, the two finally came to a stop right in front of a bungalow complex. Hopping out of the car, the two were immediately greeted with a lady Diana didn't know but Andrew seemed to.

"You're here." She mused warmly before glancing at Diana. "And you must be Diana, right? I'm Juliette, a friend of Andrew's." Stretching out her hand, Diana had no choice but to do the same before the two broke apart from each other.

"..." Diana was taken aback by the sight of all of this. Never thinking that Andrew knew such a person. "You'll be staying with me for as long as you'd like." She added on which made her wonder. "What is your job for you to afford a place like this?"

"Oh! I'm a nurse." Her tone was simple but the meaning behind it wasn't. 'A nurse? But how is she capable of affording all of this?' As if sensing her doubt, Juliette added on. "But I have other means as well." And with that, Diana was able to let go of her confusion.

"Come on in." Juliette mused as she gestured and the two of them followed after. A tour of the place shortly followed which was magnificent for Diana, not so much for Andrew who took it as have seen it a million times.

It came to an end as the three went to Juliette's room which was an understatement to say spacious and luxurious. The space was much bigger than Diana had anticipated. From decorative paintings hanging all over to the electronics, all of it was a beauty to take in.

Andrew however waited in the living room as Juliette kept on showing Diana the place before the two came back. "So what do you think?" Andrew asked as he glanced at Diana.

"It's... I never thought that j would get to live at a place like this but..." A taint of hesitation could be seen tetter between her teeth however she never voiced it out. "You feel like you don't earn it, don't worry. I've arranged for that as well."

"You have?" Diana asked, bewildered with how Andrew operated. It was similar to a black site, never knowing exactly what was on his mind but the results were favourable. "Thank you, Andrew and Juliette for all of this!"

She mused as she wrapped the two in her embrace who reciprocated it likewise. "It's okay, Diana." Juliette assured her while Andrew followed with. "It's nothing really."

'To think that there would be a time where not only would I be free from that psychopath but also living a life like this! It's like a dream.' She was still in disbelief of how her life had changed so dramatically.

From wallowing with a drug addict to living a comfortable and posh life but a part of her felt like she didn't earn it. 'But then again, all of this is handed to me on a silver platter. It doesn't feel earned.'

A tinge of guilt was stemming deep down inside her at her situation. So far she would watch as others do her bidding, either out of good will or malicious intent and the result was that she felt that she has done nothing to achieve any of this.

"Diana, I know that you may still feel fine but just take your time and relax, okay." Andrew mused as his eyes locked with hers. She wondered whether he was talking about the guilt or simply reassuring her but regardless, she gave a warm smile to the two.

"Thanks Andrew and thank you Juliette for all you have given to me." And with that, Andrew took his leave as he drove off the premises leaving the two alone.

"So how did you and Andrew exactly meet?" Diana posed as she sunk into a nearby seat. "It might seem a bit far fetched but it is what happened."

"Oh come on, just lay it on me." Diana brushed off the idea that it would be too absurd.

...

'And with that, Diana should be okay for now but the guilt that she has in her heart is stopping her from fully reveling in her freedom.' He mused as he parked the car in the garage of Clara's house before taking out his phone.

He made a call to reassure that Diana was already discharged and safe with his friend. Clara expressed her gratitude before the call came to an end.

As Andrew made his way to his home, he mused about a couple o things before he received another phone call. "Hello Hector." He started off as he opened the door before going in.

"Hi, Andrew. I was just wondering whether you'll be coming over again after yesterday. I understand that my sister may have gotten off to the wrong foot with you but I assure you that she's cool once you get to know her."

Hector who was anticipating a response waited for a minute before it was given to him. "I'm sure that she's fine but I'll keep my distance for now not to mention I have to train for my martial arts tournament so I'll talk to you later."

And with that and without waiting for him k make his response, he cut the call and placed his phone down as he changed his outfit into something more sports like. A light shirt and pair of black shorts which showed off his physique.

Whether he trained or not, his body would always maintain that same look. Chiseled abs, robust muscles and an all round body that was admirable. And with that, he made his way to the nearest gym which was already stacked with all kinds of people.

Some were in their twenties and others in their thirties however he didn't that much care as the stench of the air was enough to make one reconsider, he pushed on as he went over and picked the smallest of the sets present.

It was easy for him thus he kept on going, as he would scale up from five pounds all the way to twenty pounds and even thirty pounds. As kept on pushing, he would grab the attention of some of the others present with this impressive stamina and strength.

From there, he shifted from lifting weights, dead lifts and all that to where the real expertise and skill was, calisthenics. Taking a small open place in the gym, he would use a ten pound dumbbell to act as his support as he supported his body with one hand.

He would make a few stylish moves along with it, all handled with extreme skill to he point a small crowd had started to form around him. "Woah! I can't believe that he can do all of that stuff despite his age!" Such remarks would pass through the air.

To which he treated as back ground noise as he went about with it. His flexibility was remarkable as more people saw him, with others even pulling out their phones and recording the event.

However the crowd got a little too big for his taste to which he decided to take his leave. "Can I ask how you were able to do all of that?" One posed, eager to know his methods. "It takes time and discipline is all." A vague answer but he wasn't going to start going in depth with people he didn't care about.

Before he could step out, another figure blocked his path. A tall burly man who seemed to be in his late thirties glanced down at Andrew. "That was certainly impressive. How old are you?" An inquisitive mind. "I'm twenty years old." The man seemed baffled hearing this.

'Twenty? But that would take much more time to master. Maybe he has dedicated most of his time to this is all.' The possibility of that being probable was high than him just doing it out of the blue. "It would seem that you were able to attract all kinds of eyes and for that, I have a proposition for you."

"I'm not interested." Without waiting to hear what it was, Andrew's mind was already made up as he was about to leave. "But I haven't even told you-" Andrew however ignored him abd left the building without a second thought.

'A membership and act as one of the faces for his gym. I have more important matters to attend to than just that.' He mused as he readied his sneakers for a jog. So far despite all of his actions, he didn't feel tired at the slightest thus he wanted to tire himself out with such an activity.

With a dash, he sped down the streets, flying at a majestic pace as the world around him to slow down slightly which pumped him further to keep on going. He didn't bother stopping as he kept on pushing as he made his way through the park and deep into the forest.

In solitude, he could now unwind to his content as he suddenly burst into a dash as he went on deeper and deeper and in a matter of minutes, he was able to cross it all from one side to the other and back the point that he believed that he was no longer human.

'Despite running a total of three and a half miles, I'm still not tired at the slightest.' He mused as he furled his hands into a ball before letting them go. Brimming with energy, he decided to do a bit more of his calisthenics in peace before he called it a day.

A quick wash followed after getting home as he divulged the fact that he was participating in a mixed martial arts tournament. His mother was a bit worried but with a bit of persuasion, he was able to convince her that he would be fine.

The next set of days, he would focus on other types of arts. Be it in the caliber of striking arts like kickboxing or grappling arts like aikido and mixing it all together to the pint that he considered it that was enough.

With such a wide variety at his disposal, he was sure that no one wouldn't pose a threat to him at the slightest. Of course all of it was taking place in the woods which gave him the peace that he needed.
