Rabaab didn't move.
The knock came again. Louder.
She clutched the pendant around her neck—Haider's old locket—hoping it would protect her.
Silence returned.
Creeeaaaak…
The bedroom door slowly opened on its own.
No one was there.
But at the base of the door… a thin line of blood began to seep through the crack.
Terrified, she called Jawad.
"Please come over. Something's not right. I think I'm losing my mind…"
Jawad rushed over. When he arrived, the blood trail was gone.
"There's nothing here, Rabaab."
She looked at him—confused, frightened.
But when he turned to leave the room, she saw it.
His reflection in the mirror…
The eyes were hollow.
Not Jawad.
"Wait—" she tried to speak, but her voice failed.
The reflection smiled.
And behind her, the locket began to glow red.
